We strongly suggest that academic publishers and other platforms that host research rapidly implement a Share to Bluesky button for their articles. Here's how: docs.bsky.app/docs/advance... #AcademicSky #HigherEd #Altmetrics

Also one of the key reasons a lie makes it 7 times around the world by the time the truth gets out of bed, it's because so many academic journals hide the study behind a $30/article paywall! Since many studies are public funded that's a SCANDAL!

Thanks for the answer! And about Bluesky? This post bsky.app/profile/pett... mentioning this article nature.altmetric.com/details/1669... does not appear in your data. -> Is Bsky included in your data? Thanks for your info.

I got active on twitter for the science stuff years ago, but its useless now. blue-sky now has that same old feeling of using for that purpose, a so far is going great. Just make this boom as much as possible.

I ran into a small problem implementing this, and while it's possible I'm not understanding something basic, I'm also probably not the only one who will run into a problem. bsky.app/profile/ahar...

Yes! Let’s give academic citations a new home. 2018 (I think - there’s an article somewhere) Twitter (cough!) had the highest literature citation incidence of any platform (hands down). #orthopedics Twitter citations were higher than analog print citations

Why should this be done? @altmetric.com currently only considers Twitter posts. Altmetric is not a reliable source anymore for measuring the community impact of scientific research. It simply ignores Mastodon and Bluesky since more than a year.
