As do most of us, I get texts & emails galore asking for political donations. I voted early for a straight blue ticket, but I’m not giving money to anyone’s campaign until Citizens United is no longer the law of the land.

For the life of me I can't remember articles about George Soros dumping hundreds of millions into specific races. I may be mistaken, but I was under the impression that his support was generally broader.

In essence, court rulings protecting independent political spending opened the door to unlimited super PAC donations. The SC ruled corporations are "people".
