Ossoff: "Privately, most elected Republicans in this building think the president has lost it and is dooming them to dismal losses this fall"

What good does “private” do? We’re sick of Republicans having “private” concerns.Stand up and say “NO” to Trump.Take votes that matter, fight back, stand up for democracy and our country. REMOVE HIM from office: you have the power to do that. Change history for the better!

And that's all they care about, is losing their jobs. If they had a set of stones at all they would have rejected the orange yam and done the right thing for America. But they didn't and now because they didn't give a fuck about America they're worried about their jobs. They don't deserve them

I'm sick of D's stating that their R colleagues are saying things in private. They need to publicly name these supposed R's and make them defend it.

Every Republican who has been approving of and voting for Trump’s executive orders & anti American policies, Needs to be voted out of office!!! VoteBlue 💙 Everywhere!

Gee...and to think that most Americans have a short memory and they could literally start doing the right thing TODAY and they have a chance at winning. But no...

NO THEY DONT. They only tell Democrats that crap because Democrats are dumb enough to believe it. As for losses, the Republicans don’t care about those either because they simply plan on cheating. The gullibility of Democrats is off the charts.

They are correct. Supporting racism, rape, and pedophiles and taking away Healthcare, Snap, and giving the money to billionaires, turns out isn't fucking good policy. Don't get me started on throwing immigrants into hell holes and murdering them on USA's streets.

Well, then those Republicans should all resign. Because “privately“ opposing Trump while publicly going out and voting in lockstep to support him is the acme of cowardice. (I don’t really believe that very many of them privately scorn him - they just want ‘normal’ voters to think that they do)

Then why are they siding with himmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Omfg is EVERY Republican in office that daft? That greedy? That scared? Of what? They're dealing with an impudent child FFS

No one gains anything when public officials have private views that differ from their public statements. Cowards all. Proving they are as unfit for office as the ones who actually are fascists in public and private.

SMILE 😃! I agree. Trump is going to show Republicans, that they can’t win, unless HE is on the ballot. The problem is, Trump IS on the ballot, as the Rs running are firm supporters of his policies, that are hurting the American people!

And yet, they continue to enable it. And the net result: A country that is in free-fall, our national security is in decline, grotesque amounts of corruption, brown people are being hunted, we are at war that shouldn’t have started, prices rising, healthcare is skyrocketing 🆘

It's fucking Republicans in congress. Three dozen could change the face of America away from fascism, but I can only assume bu their silence that they are ALL CHILD RAPISTS and in the Epstein Trump files. Prove me wrong

I imagine the Republicans will find something to oppose trump on in October and their GOP voters will fall in line, forgetting and forgiving all. Remember, MAGAs are getting something out of being MAGA - and it’s not financial. It’s racism pure and simple.

Publicly, they’re supporting him. It’s a party of arsonists, and they’re destroying representative democracy. They are NOT to be trusted, NOT to be bargained with, and NOT to be collaborated with. They ARE to be defeated

If only there was some kind of government system where the people were represented by some official, who they could petition to do something about the madman dooming them and the country.

How perceptive of them! So when Trump blows the trumpet for the charge to stop the election, are Republicans going to stand up and block him as attempted repeal of Constitutional rights of Americans, or do an about-face and join the charge in Trump's "Little Bighorn"?

Every legislator swears to support the Constitution. Their adherence to that oath is a criterion for holding office, no less than their age or their citizenship Each person has broad leeway to interpret their oath, but it must have some positive meaning Move to expel them. bsky.app/profile/samh...

Modeling how it could be better—what it would look like for someone to demand better, from within—might be the best use of a principled legislator’s career. Romney, e.g., said he believed in duty. He resigned bc he didn’t want to work with these ppl anymore. But he also didn’t work against them. 3/

I'm of the opposite mind... Let those #Quisling Republicans wallow in the mire all summer and this fall let them weep over their loss of power in the Congress. AS IT SHOULD BE. Feb 1, 2027 3rd Impeachment of Trump & Senate Affirmation so ends the tale of the #FeloniousDon

I’m so SICK of hearing that Republican members of Congress admit “privately” that Trump’s a nightmare. This does not exonerate your complicity in any way. You get zero points. Grow up! Be a leader! Find your moral center.

Republicans in Congress have been saying these things “privately” for TEN years, while continuing to protect him from any accountability for TEN years. I’m done being generous in my assessments.

I don't feel sorry for those spineless Republicans. They made their bed when they bent the knee. If they could grow balls and stand up to trump, they might could keep their seat. But they won't.

drumpf is an idiot but he's running the country like a mob boss & that includes threatening all of the DC gop congress reps & senators into obedience. they're doing his bidding & not speaking out bc they & their families are being threatened with physical violence.

theguardian.comRepublicans terrified of crossing Trump due to physical threats, Democrat saysEric Swalwell says threats to them and their families are stopping GOP officials from criticizing president

Republicans fear 'dismal losses' while watching the President drive the party off a cliff. Why sacrifice your integrity for a leader you don't even trust behind closed doors? Is this blind loyalty, or a collective suicide pact? #GOP #USPol

Like, “My colleagues know Trump is full of and couldn’t care less about the average American. Trump even says so himself. But as long as my colleagues know their constituents haven’t gotten the clue that Trump is Trump First and Trump Only, my colleagues will keep pretending to love him in public.”⬇️

And, “It’s all a ruse. I feel bad for the people who eventually find out they were the mark all along, because they will find out that they’ve been robbed of more than just their pride.“

The reason the republican representatives are looking at a loss is because they failed and continue to fail their constituents. If they are so worried about losing grow a set and start governing some of them might save they job if they would impeach.
