Fox News graphic claims falsely that the average price of gas one year ago was $4.13, lower than it is right now. It was actually $3.14!

Lying, lying, lying. That's all the alt-right ever does. They are all malignant, aggressive, persistent, and sadistic narcissistic sociopaths who DARVO and gaslight the rest of us, and they need to be removed from our society for our safety. I will keep saying it until everyone gets that message.

@foxnews.com.web.brid.gy blatant lies! 2029 we take you down! Lawsuits for a decade! All will live in shame forever! Oh you worked for Fox? Sorry no job here! You are like the plague! Hungary has shown the way! Tick tock you lying assholes! We The People are finding out! The Brainwashing ends!

Dollar amounts (especially of personal debits and credits) are one of the few things that political cult members won't easily change to fit what they want to believe. In this case FOX is depending on our short attention spans and memories.

What a fucking lie. Anyone who fills their tank knows it was under $3– perhaps $3 in some areas. I remember it being $2.70ish where I lived. We don’t forget paying $40 and now suddenly close to $70

Blatant lies by licensed media corporations and elected officials need to be severely punishable by law. Enough of this. Post-truth is supposed to be a dire warning not a state of being.

Who gets to decide what is a lie? And “media corporations” don’t have licenses. Only over-the-air broadcast stations do.

If a false claim can be proven to be so grossly false it is undeniably a lie then that is a lie and the custodian of information that peddled that lie must be severely punished as a deterrent.

Proven…by who? And who will judge? And what is the necessary context to make it illegal? Oh, and what about the First Amendment or any SCOTUS decisions says (or even implies) that there’s an exclusion for lies?

That’s…not what happened. The suit was settled, so there was no judgment. And the suit wasn’t about “not telling the truth”, it was about damaging Dominion. It was a necessary condition that the statements were false, but that alone is not sufficient for a suit.

Not really. They claimed in defense against a lawsuit that one particular program (Tucker Carlson, IIRC) was entertainment and not news. So even that was according to them, not “the courts”.

Such a manly man - doesn't work out, play sports, hike, fish, hunt or even drive a car, wears more makeup and hair product than most ladies (and avoids mild rains in service to his pointless vanity), and he's a blithering idiot - a real alpha!

To #Trump, I can understand that after you made $2 BILLION in the past year, you have less than zero empathy for the impact of gas costing over $4 a gallon on the rest of us. EVERYTHING you do & say makes sense when viewed through your malignant narcissism. But do you HAVE to be condescending???

What is the woman at the end of this clip TALKING about?!? The President "has a certain way of communicating"--Trump's a malicious sociopath who lies even when telling the truth wouldn't be a problem. Trump should slick his hair back & wear a plaid suit. He's like Danny Devito in "Matilda"!

We need a massive class action lawsuit against FOX for all the lies and disinformation FOX knowingly spread to viewers every day. People who watched FOX and followed their info died. We lost 1.2 million Americans because of Trumps vanity (no masks), FOX News lies, and really ignorant people.

Gas-flation is depriving many people of basic necessities! The utter cruelty of it all is inexcusable. The Pedophile Party doesn't care about people. As long as money trickles up from the true working men and women to the corrupt rich and powerful, they are happy.

IF they were honest & also posted gas prices from Aug -Dec 2024, they’d show that gas had settled in at $3.14 average by 2024 election time. Gas hovering between $4.14-$4.94 near me since 2/28/26, has been stressful & not the right sacrifice to make for an illegal & unjust war in the Middle East.

The great thing about FOX is even if you boycott all their advertisers they make enough to stay on through your Basic Cable and Broadcast fees. It's like $2 a month with basic.

I moved to Oklahoma City in January of this year. The gas station at the exit for our place was $2.01 a gallon. It’s $3.78 today….and we are an “oil and gas” state!!

Right before Trump started the war, our local Exxon was selling regular unleaded for $2.99/gal. It peaked sometime in June at $4.49. It’s now $3.99. So it’s still about 30% higher than six months ago.

Since when is FOX news channel ever right about any really they are basically an entertainment channel not an authentic news station and it caters exclusively to RW Republican views only etc

Ah, the "transpositional error." A bold strategy to accidentally invent a $1.00 tax on reality. It’s not a typo; it’s just an optimistic reimagining of the economy.

West Coast: $5.07. Fox ignores a lot of facts, so why even watch them. The only time I mess with them is when I want to see what outrageous shit they are mouthing over an interesting lie of Trump's. Better entertainment than streaming, and dirt cheap. 😼

Involves, yes, but not limited to lying. There are 3 elements: a false statement of fact is only one of them. That's the reason the distinction is important. Most lies are protected speech. Defamation is not, but it goes beyond mere lying.
