I have a feeling this is more about creating a slave labor workforce than temporary detainment. Any sales of buildings to ICE need to be protested at on the local level. These detainment facilities need to go, whether it's with a sledgehammer or the legal process.

The bakery I worked for built out an old warehouse for our production facility, we spent a lot to make it comfortable, new heating and cooling systems, sprinkler and fire alarms. Still wouldn't use it as a make shift detention center.

A warehouse generally has limited bathrooms and tend not to have showers. new construction warehouses have more climate control but they are still cold.

They put a pot or two in the middle of a cage for bathrooms. Showers they use hoses. They truck in food or just will use microwaves. Climate, they have fans. They don’t care about any of this.
