James Carville lost the plot… AGAIN He would rather Republicans keep control of the House than see Democrats win with a narrow majority because he’s afraid of the left. Are you fucking kidding me? So we’re all fighting to stop Trump’s fascist agenda and Carville is more worried about the DSA.

The only people who feel like this are Republicans posing as Democrats. The DSA may get a few candidates elected but there really is no chance they will dominate the party any time soon. It’s a completely illogical argument to justify supporting the fascists.

Katy Kay and Joe Scarborough spent a bit of time this morning discussing how El Sayed was having trouble breaking through with black voters because he is too uppity. Where does a narrative like that come from?

Why is he still talking? More importantly, why is anyone giving him an audience? Some people don’t know when to call it a day. I’m not surprised by this, but I am pissed off. I’m 63 and I’m amazed people like him don’t see that the DSA is what is needed now. What are they afraid of?

He's a rich, white guy. He remains unaffected by trumps fascist regime. He only cares about his wealth and privilege being challenged by the dsa.

Carville doesn't have pull w/ DSA so he's trying rile up old school "D" base. He & top tier of the Democratic party aren't aware, tangibly or functionaly, of what citizens want for a better future. That said, DSA has gotta play a long game. Be smart not sassy.

The thing that concerns me is even with the power of the gavel I remember during the 1st impeachment...trump wouldnt turn over documents. Even with sopena power...nothing was ever turned over so nothing moved forward. What will dems do differently this time?

You can either support Super PAC money or you can support democracy. Its not possible to have both. Which is why Abdul campaigns to get money out of politics. He's getting clobbered by people like Carville though.

What really triggered Carville was the "abolish ICE" movement, if you can even call it a movement. James is one the wrong side of the police brutality issue, and he has always been.

Carville’s Palantir connection was paid, not incidental. The Verge reported in 2018 that he helped launch its secretive New Orleans policing program. “I am the sole driver of that project,” he said. Who gets called a threat—and who gets to build the machinery that labels them?

Ironically he said this on Bill Kristol's podcast. In the current moment he's also on the "abolish ICE" bandwagon. You know, famed "far leftist" Bill Kristol. /s

Establishment panic over ideological diversity is a feature, not a bug, of coalition policing. When pundits threaten to abandon the party over progressive wins, they reveal a preference for performative defection over actual governance. #coalition_policing #political_punditry

He also said he didn’t vote and can’t now because he will be out of state and didn’t complete the absentee info. Just a wild way to end that podcast/interview.

Old guy has got to go. He thinks he’s playing the long game but that won’t matter if we can’t win today’s game.

Carville on the wrong side of the Democratic divide? Well color me surprised. The pro-corporate Democrats inability to actually deliver a better standard of living to the masses is why we're in this mess. Maybe it's about time we try something else.

Carville: STFU! #VoteBLUE #VoteForAbdulEl-Sayed #VoteForAngieNixon #VoteforTroyJackson #VoteForScottColom #VoteForJonOssoff #VoteForJamesTalarico

Carville is only concerned with keeping himself relevant - through controversy. Carville is 80+ years old and 'retired' - he made one notable quote about the economy 20+ years ago that was true before then and remains true today. I also blame bill kristol.

This is perfect actually because it illustrates clearly the divide between those who are affluent Democrats who view society as something they can control and regular Democrats that know that we are in a battle for survival.

A man who looks and acts like one of the sad zombies wandering the shopping mall in George A Romero’s Dawn Of The Dead. It’s like Carville doesn’t even know he’s dead….

Carville is irrelevant & has been for sometime. He & others like him are used by the mainstream media for clickbait. Trump & MSM use the professional wrestling model of constant conflict, drama & shock. That’s why the MSM lovesTrump & other agitators as they create chaos which drives engagement.

Can't we just lock Carville and Bill Maher in a sound proof room together and let them pompously babble to each other that only clever old white men really understand the world, while the rest of us get on with trying to actually accomplish something?

That’s not our business. Wait and see what happens when the new Congress is seated. He’s never been Speaker. We don’t know what he will or won’t do.

Why is this failed mummy still being asked any questions? He should be in a retirement home mumbling DSA to himself in front of a TV playing Matlock reruns

I listened to the podcast and what he said is true. It’s on tape. The way it is being presented, however, is disingenuous. He does not want democrats to be blamed by the electorate for getting nothing done. He’d rather have republicans be blamed going into 2028. He is right.

Senile has-been say wha…? This is some Trump-level brain farts. Imagine watching the orange shitball shred the constitution day in and day out and instead tilting at DSA windmills.

He did then. Besides working at a time when things didn’t change as much as quickly, he was also a southerner working for a southerner’s campaign. Now, with the world changing exponentially every few months, his antiquated views don’t help tbh be vastly different Left coalition.

He's been a useless drunk nut for years!! he doesn't represent anybody on the left, he's a corporate centralist democrat at best.

His ultra right wing wife must have a kung foo grip on his nuts. James let me get this straight you want to keep the fascists, & brown shirt ICE thugs & the corruption & the giant give away to corporations because the democratic socialist may try to create better healthcare and keep social security

Say DSA and Mamdani and El-Sayed come to mind. Both are impressive, inspiring. Corporate Democrats don’t have our best interests in mind because they work for the profit of corporations. Fuck that.

Perhaps. It’s just a label to these asshats. A scare tactic. Anyone in favor of using taxpayer dollars for the good of their constituents is labeled a socialist, etc.

James Carville had one good play, he got Clinton, who was accused of sexual improprieties by multiple women, re-elected. Then the press made him into a political genius. I am exhausted with this 90's era Democrat Party. Have a drink James, then shut your old ass up.

The eternal struggle of the strategic mind: worrying so much about the "wrong" kind of victory that you accidentally optimize for a guaranteed defeat. It's basically a political bug turned into a feature.

I avoid Carville. His form of logic illudes me. I don't waste time with his platform. I don't understand why anyone else does. Why would anyone want to continue to support the Republicans who have shown no courage in governing during this "trump Regime"?

Please be mindful this election of Dems (most) who are actually just Republicans (Carville). He's against progressives, Mamdani types, because it actually helps people and not big corp. Read DSA voter guidelines to find out progressive candidates.

Evidently he's losing his wits. At this point I don't give a rat's ass what James Carville thinks, because he's not thinking clearly. Looking at his bio...this is what happens to people with some political instincts but no military experience. I'm a veteran; he's not.

Carville tells Iraq War advocate Bill Kristol he’d prefer Republican control of the House to a narrow Democratic majority dependent on the left. What does “defending democracy” mean if sharing power with elected leftists is less acceptable than Republican rule?

I think we can just truncate "reactionary centrist" to "reactionary". These people exist solely to pull us all rightward while pretending not to, and feeding us bullshit anout how we have to mimic the right to win. And they've been gaslighting us for decades. Now people just comply in advance...

...by censoring themselves and policing the party from any "extreme" opinions like M4A. Some supposed lefty literally just did that to me and it is so fucking annoying. Your fears, which are deliberately stoked by people like Carville, are not common sense or conventional wisdom.

He's thinking about 2028, and how a hard left swing after the midterms will likely deliver the presidency to the GOP again. Given oligarch alignment with GOP, it's a reasonable forecast. If the Dems will win a majority, they will have an extremely tough needle to thread to avoid losing 2028.

We're fighting against dinosaurs on both sides of the aisle here just trying to save democracy. Progressive Democrats are winning because we are all sick and tired of the same old system that got us into this mess.

Fuck what pundits have to say....Vote for your OWN PERSONAL INTERESTS, and no one else's...James can have his opinion, but that doesn't mean I'm going to vote for Jeff Van Drew, so vote for yourself!

James Carville is why too many people don't trust the Democratic party. Democrats need a spine and not throw people under the bus like James Carville does!

Democrats will one day learn to stop listening to white men. They do not have the interests of anyone other than straight white men at heart. They may call themselves Democrats or DSA or leftists or *whatever,* but the throughline is ALWAYS that *they are white men.* Always.

So we’d rather not have subpoena power because we’re afriad of progress? Great plan, dinosaur man. Your opinion is senseless, out of touch and as far beyond stupid as one can go. Sit down for the next two weeks.

Carville & Clinton dragged the Democratic Party toward Republican policies in search of the elusive "moderate Republican" voter that never materialized After Gingrich's 1990 GOPAC lists suggested calling Dems "sick, pathetic, traitor" among other words GOP just pushed harder toward authoritarianism

if James is worried about the DSA, he should just look at what Mamdani is doing in New York, he has gotten more done in nine months than the entire Congress and Senate in the past two years
