The Advance piece has been updated to add a new section: > Stevens’ office later told Michigan Advance that they believed describing the congresswoman’s comments as being “impressed” was a mischaracterization of what she was trying to convey.

I'm voting Mallory McMorrow. bsky.app/profile/mall... I like El Sayed but I'm not voting for the candidate most likely to lose to Rogers (R). That's currently AES. Gen elec vs Rogers: MM +3, HS +5, AES tied Independents only: MM +12, HS +13, AES +3 Favorability: MM +11, HS +1, AES -5%, Rogers -4%

We really need to reset our expectations of lawmakers. Someone who is impressed that they only encountered a couple of instances of torture in the concentration/death camp lacks the basic human decency to govern.

So little decency and so few political instincts she doesn't even know how to pretend. I hope this kind of thing matters to enough people that she will never be elected again.

I mean, Adam Smith and Karl Marx described very similar things happening in capitalism but came to very different judgments about the desirability of it.
