How big a piece of shit would you have to be to buy the confiscated jewelry of asylum seekers at a government auction?

Oh I’m sure there’ll be plenty of people interested, sadly. Reform voters wont care less and that’s where this country is headed 🤦‍♂️

Tangent: makes me sick to this day to have "succcessful german entrepreneurs" celebrated, when > half gained their riches from Jews and forced labour. Denazification is complete, the capital plus interest remains.

there is a cost of living crisis. That the government is finally able to put forward a strategy to make jewellery cheap and accessible again should be lauded. This could really impact inflation.

Basically, if they have a huge amount that is clearly not personal and for the purpose of selling then it could be used as a contribution to their living costs but personal jewellery will not be. I’d rather wait until the full details are properly announced than believe any newspaper.

Sure, though I don't think the government is going to be selling them with a little card that tells you whom they were taken from like you're buying artisinal small-hold farmer dried mango from Botswana at a hipster market in Hackney.

How much valuable jewelery are asylum seekers travelling with - because I can't imagine its anything of great monetary value. I also understand this isnt an actual govt policy, but an initiative/proposal. But its got 'the left' frothing at the mouth, they'll appreciate a cause for their rage
