Thank you for sharing this. One of these could save someone’s life. If I had a child in school whom I feared could be attacked by federal thugs on school grounds, I’d give this to my child and tell them to use it.

Usual caveats: this is just a thread to connect people, I am not vetting people in this thread myself, please use common sense and *communicate with Signal whenever possible*.

Do NOT give people home or business addresses in Bluesky DMs. Bluesky DMs are not currently encrypted. You should only do that in Signal.

Seconded, these are the best I've found, loud as heck and a very low cut in pressure (many of the LOUD whistles take a lot of breath to get that volume, but these are LOUD wirh a very modest breath pressure).

No this one is not the best, uses too much filament. You want the flat whistle from maker world, I’ve printed thousands and its faster/just as loud/cheaper.

We've got a small (but growing) collective of makers sending whistles (and sometimes other things) to support neighborhoods across the US. If you're a 3D printer owner who wants to help, we'd love to give you the support and guidance you need to do it. linktr.ee/3Dwhistles

If you don't have a printer and still want to help, we've lots of ways for you to kick in whatever you can spare. Also, if you're on the ground in a city that's under DHS occupation, there's an email you can use to request whistles, no charge.

look i didn't say nothin but you can buy a 12 pack of collapsible vuvuzelas online for like $35

Not sure what style y'all can print, but I found a small flat metal whistle that I can wear under my shirt as a necklace full-time (flat enough it doesn't really show through the shirt). It's working well for me to just always have one when I need it, so maybe printing small flat ones would help

i offer them as a free add-on to any order in my shop, but don't have the time or capacity for more production beyond that. It's really cool that it's an option, hipe you connect a lot of people!

Am in Boston, in an immigrant-heavy neighborhood. I have a whistle (ordered it through local hardware store) but would love to have more to distribute.
