Oh, hey It’s #intersex awareness day I am And because the entire system lies to intersex people & suppresses our stories, while I knew something -had- to be up, I did not know I was intersex until I was almost 30 That was tough Raise awareness, so it’s not so hard for others #LGBTQIA

You don't need that Starbucks latte. 12,000 baristas have organized. They've spent years fighting for a fair first contract. They're demanding better pay, more hours, safe staffing and basic protections. Support the workers, not the corporation stonewalling them. Boycott Starbucks!

Yes I’m bitter The state has a monopoly on violence. That’s core to the anarchist critique. Shaming individual people for not allowing themselves to be hurt by intimate partners if it means using state violence is liberalism. it’s like getting mad at people for buying homes only misogynistic

I met him once, at a gate-show con when I was 14. In the elevator, not in any paid line, but he signed my badge for me anyway. A gentleman.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

I put off eating breakfast late enough that I decided a savory lunch-like thing was in order so I’m making some congee. Breakfast has been represented by the coffee with spray-can cold foam (I would not have bought it myself, but as the kid did, I’m not too proud to have some)

Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too. Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course. – George

I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.

Get your pumpkin carving kit *now* before it's later tonight and you convince yourself a steak knife will work just fine, but it won't and you'll be posting on Bluesky saying, "I just lacerated myself carving a pumpkin. CPSC is going to be so disappointed in me :( "

Okay, I'm blown away by how fast we are approaching the goal! Only $16 left to reach the threshold to trigger a new fiction serialization at my patreon! I thought I'd start the serial on Jan. 1st, but now I'm thinking November 20th? Surely we can get there well before then.

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

I always find it interesting when BlueSky angrily says "X group of people isn't stupid!" If only because every group of people has stupid people in it. Stupid people do, in fact, exist. It is difficult for BlueSky, the retirement home for former gifted kids, to come to terms with this.

...make it conventional wisdom that anti-trans hate (ICE/Muslim bashing/autocracy etc.) is electoral poison. Succeed in that, and there's a good chance that Dems (and perhaps even the GOP, if it was a healthy party, which it isn't) will react accordingly.

Oh, and as I've said before: If you support something that the Republicans have been running against, be ready Tuesday night to start claiming that it's why Dems won and keep hitting that as hard as you can. Yes, even if Dems were/are bad on it. Do what you can to....

This is why I have to wait forever in line at the corner store even though there’s only one person ahead of me

Massachusetts residents spend more on lottery tickets per person than any other state in America. Rhode Island ranks #2. A new Federal Reserve Bank of Boston report says no region spends more on the lottery than New England.

Cheesecake Factory, Applebee's, Chili's, etc. all fulfill an important role in American culture: Business casual for drinkies Place to take the kids after the soccer game so mommy can have drinkies

given the track record of Harvard Law graduates I would bet that’s actively avoided in the courses

A hundred thousand years of blessings await the person who manages to get class analysis into this man's ear like a blowdart

so apparently this is what I’m like except instead of boobs my weakness is crunchy snacks delivered late night

Today is the last day to register to vote in Massachusetts. You still have time to make sure your voice is heard and your ballot is counted on November 3rd!

Widely available solar panels and heat pumps! When I was a little kid Reagan ripped Carter’s solar panels OFF the White House.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Alien was NOT reformatted for IMAX, so it was slightly distorted. This was actually GOOD for me as I’m not great with jump scares and the distortion moderated the effect a little! Because I had never seen it all the way through before.

Also I had not realized just how stacked the cast was! I knew Sigourney Weaver and John Hurt were in it but had not realized about Ian Holm and Yaphet Kotto.
