I couldn't make it through listening a summary of it from a YouTuber who I generally like. It is not even bad in an interesting way, it's just plain bad.

The thing about nepo babies is... you still do actually have to be at least *somewhat* talented. The personal connection gives you a foot in the door, but that's it. There is no shortage of people in LA with family in the industry.

Rob Lowe describes himself as an independent centrist while both James Franco and Jennifer Jason Leigh are publicly left leaning and vote Dem. Pretty sure this is going to be the same story as Danny Trejo who was tricked into the role and is contractually forced to not bad mouth the movie.

映画制作と考えた場合感性は、必要なんですがそういう意味では、監督の考え方は、重要だと思います

Shocked that Rob Lowe would besmirch his reputation like this. He has such a great resume including West Wing and Parks and Recreation. He doesn’t need the money or the work. Very confusing.

What I'm seeing is them going after actors who've been canceled (Majors and Franco) and actors who are known to do anything for money (Lowe, Leigh, Trejo). This is the same stuff that Cannon used to do back in the 80s.

This leads me to my basic position on this, which is that I want to give the benefit of the doubt to some of these people, but if you work in entertainment as long as Trejo or Leigh, even if you aren't paying attention to the writer/producer etc. you should've been asking, "who else is in this?"

Trejo’s daughter apparently put out a statement because he can’t (NDA). Claim is he was tricked into it. Had no clue Shapiro was involved. True? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Past credits always linger in voice work. I've watched creators on the audio platform I run, soundkino.com, get read differently once listeners dig up an old gig. Do you think the statement would have landed the same if that prior credit hadn't surfaced?

The issue with these movies is that they begin with the intention of creating a “conservative” film and then attempt to make it a “good” film. It never works. The end product always sucks.
