"I didn't know" was a pretty common reaction among Germans to the revelations about the Holocaust. (*Of course* they knew.) In this day of 24/7 news saturation, no one can make such a claim with a straight face. Everyone knows what Miller and T are doing. "Ignorance" is a lie.

This is a dress rehearsal. Trump will declare martial law at some point during his Presidency…certainly before Dems regain control of the House. Hate to say it, but as long as it’s up to him, we have far darker days ahead. Trump is the Jim Jones of American politics.

those left within or attracted to the current Republican Party are real pieces of work -- they are literally out of step with the other 75 percent of America. crazy... (unless that step is a "goose step," then they can keep pretty good rhythm walking all over our Constitutionally protected rights.

Great point! Perhaps because some republicans, whether or not they describe themselves as conservatives, are still federalists at heart and see the overreach in CA as just that, overreach by the federal government?

Immediately after students were shot and killed at Kent State, only 11% of Americans polled blamed the National Guard - 89% blamed the students for protesting. As time goes on and the repression becomes even more violent, disapproval will continue to increase.

We expect republicans to cheer what he’s doing, but wonder if they do, or they’re just cheering him—their team leader, and they’re too deep in the well to see out. I’ll bet a lot of those “other” are voters who didn’t believe Mr. Immunity would do what he said he’d do—& voted for him anyway. 😞

It’s hard for me to believe that 70-80+% of republicans are heartless, or racist…or both. I’d like to think not, because I have relatives and friends who are republicans (and I was one until 2016). Maybe they’re in that 20%…but then they say, “We don’t like him, but we like what he’s doing.” 😞

They’re not stupid. They’re educated. Engineers and teachers (in the union and are now receiving a very nice pension as a result) among them. They’re also evangelical which makes it even harder to understand. I think they’re in the “too deep in the (partisan) well to see out” category. 😞

Same poll: 35% of Americans are fascists. 50% of Americans care about the rule of law. 15% of Americans are total fucking morons.
