Every time I watch PBS Newshour, I’m swiftly reminded of what an actual news broadcast should be.

Why the Antichrist with the signs of the Beast on each heel defunds it! Evil greedy men have taken over! 11/3/2026 we reset to a 2/3rds majority for Votes on bills that help fix Trump Chaos and destruction! Congress must do their Job! Put a check on the out of control Delusional President! As the

Founders wrote in the 3 branches of Government! The Supreme Court is Corrupted! Overturned Centuries of Settled Law! Giving a Corrupt Man more Power to Destroy all agencies! Why even have Congress? 13 Justices for 13 Courts! Or we are Russia West! 10 men decide all fate! Unsustainable destruction!

Yes. I recorded today and for tomorrow, due to the Supreme Court decisions today, and planned for tomorrow. I love Rachel, but today I just got tired of her hype, and tuned into the sober, quiet Monday Newshour.

PBS is one of the last sources of accurate and unbiased reporting but they are suffering from lack of funding since they lost federal dollars thanks to Trump. If you can contribute to NPR, even $5, please do so.

I used to watch him all the time. But I believe the model Rachel Maddow uses. Where she brings in a highly expert person to discuss an issue is really good. It's more like what the BBC does. She went to Oxford so she had time to watch BBC. The group discussion thing with a liar is a joke.

Check out CBC…the National would be a good place to start. Many of the BBC programs are very good too…Publicly funded broadcasting is not “State TV”. Most western democracies have independent broadcasters (Australia, Ireland, Japan, etc)that often keep governments in check. That is healthy.

Every time I watch PBS in general I'm reminded of what a treasure public broadcasting is and why it should be protected. On the flip side when I watch Discovery or History Channels I'm reminded of how much junk, conspiracy theory programming is passed off as history or edutainment.

I truly believe we could do a great deed for this country if we organized an all-out boycott assault campaign starting with Fox News. Loud, vocal, endless harassment of a campaign against them. We the people need to take control of this situation and shut down all these effing lies.

Right - i feel same with bbc , canadian news, news from korea/ philippines…. Ol fashion journalism. Just the facts. News. Our news is corrupted by billionaires all milking Trump (and us) now we know what the ppl of Hungry went through.

What pisses me off is that the PBS NewsHours Geoff Bennett did not push back. As a professional & respected moderator he had every right to look David Brooks in the eye & say "would Americans take what you just said & reply Harlan Crow brided a Supreme Court justice illegally? Missed opportunity

Every time I watch ABC’s David Muir, I”m instantly reminded what one shouldn’t be. They allocate all of one half-hour for “World News” and offer “leads-if-it-bleeds” tabloid journalism blasted out by a carnival barker.

I've stopped reading all American news sources for American news -- except for the AP, for now at least. Corporate capture of newsrooms has become far too obvious and you can smell the conservative spin. AP, The Guardian, and BBC are about it for hard news. I still love NPR and PBS cultural stuff.

Avoid CBS CNN FOX to protect your mind, spirit and soul. Don’t give them a second of your time. They pollute, poison and undermine free speech.

Watch a BBC interview. They ask follow up questions. They push for straight answers. They’re prepared. Newshour IS very good but once you see the pros you realize what we’ve lost or never had.

Same. It gives me hope that not all is lost here in America. But that same dedication to journalism and facts put a target on them. They need to be supported. With money!! Even a small donation helps if enough people do it. I promise it’s money well spent even if it didn’t feel like it right now

Brooks and Capehart is my favorite segment of PBS news. Brooks brings a conservative argument stripped of the Trump lies and acknowledging the Trump malfeasance. I very much like hearing his counter arguments, David Brooks does a fine Job in my book.

I actually think NPR and PBS are too passive! They interview Republicans and give them way too much respect and deference. They don’t even ask hard questions or interrupt their lies with fact checks! What are they afraid of— Republicans will vote to defund them?🤷‍♂️🚩🚩🚩

The ONLY one I watch bc they are UNbiased and impartial and HONEST above all else with NO ONE to answer to and little to NO commentary. Just the FACTS and only the FACTS. That is why REPUKES want to get rid of #PBS.

Let's start State chapters of a National organization, perhaps a citizen funded foundation for the promotion and protection of Truth in journalism. What laws hold broadcasters, news writers, and even historians accountable for lies, exaggeration, and propaganda?

I was compelled to stop watching the Newshour. I could not tolerate the anchor's "skoff" habit when interviewing guests. I don't need their thinly disguised judgement expressed before their guest have a chance to answer their question. I may be the only one who feels this way.

We were in SW MI for a couple days and discovered the NPR station we normally tune to, 104.1, seems to be gone. Maybe it and the Weekend NewsHour have been cut due to loss of federal funding by the 🍆🥔 regime. I have a few characters left, so RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!

I couldn't agree more! I have been without cable for 7 years now. Independent media all the way. Whenever I see a snippet of fox news I am horrified that's what many Americans are absorbing.. Honest reporting without any hint of propaganda is the way to go on a daily.

Every time i hear about PBS. I ask myself; How much longer until he completely shuts it down? Who is gonna stop him, anyway? Congress? Scotus? Feckless Americans? "Patriots"? Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaaha haaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaa hahahahahahahahahah haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Unfortunately, they also allow Republicans to lie and let it go unchecked and rarely do fact checking. They often give Republicans the last word. They are only slightly better in that they typically do not feature the most extreme of the party, but they have sane-washed Trump far too often.

They truly are independent. No bias. You know how I know? Because when they report, sometimes I will still get angry. But I trust it to be true. They also talk about it on panels. From all sides. Sure, I still scream at the TV. But not because they lie, pussy foot around the subject, or straight...

Up misinformation, or not reporting on it all. They were on the subject of Trump's health one day. No gossip, no opinions, just reporting what has been pointed out already.

It's important to remember that journalism and accreditation journalists are under attack, both physically and by the mega corporations who control the legacy media The BBC are a prime example of thousands of excellent people fighting the system they're now trapped in

IMO the next sane administration should fully fund PBS/CPB and use it to take the news media companies into receivership. Prosecute the current owners in our Nuremberg Trials and find new owners who care about the First Amendment and journalistic integrity.

Oh right. PBS, who helped get this administration elected. I will stick with independent journalism. Meidas Touch, Brian Tyler Cohen, Glenn Kirschner, Marc Elias, Aaron Parnas, Adam Mockler, Blackboot Official, Status Coup…. Etc. Real journalists.

I can’t agree that PBS is just news, as long as they keep giving David ‘Monster Hypocrite’ Brooks airtime🤢 The PBS News Hour obviously pulls their punches if you watch other non-mainstream media sources and see the difference PBS must walk a thin line careful of their funding sources‘ opinions

Your argument is that PBS features a "hypocrite" 5 minutes a week? In a segment that always gives his opponent equal time? Lol. What you call "walking a thin line" for donors is actually called "unbiased journalism". If PBS doesn't fit your definition of a "news" program, name one that does.

You are joking, of course🤨 Do you watch any international news outlets? The idea that PBS covers a government that has been trying to destroy them ‘unbiased’ Seriously? Brooks is a joke from the NYT, the other side is WaPo? You are kidding😝 I give up. If PBS is your ‘news’ source, it’s not FauxNews🤷‍♀️
