I agree with you, but I think we are talking about two separate issues: moving the boundary back on a particular issue, and using one issue to distract from another.

Plus, it might be interesting to review GA's 2020 map. All of the urban areas went blue, rural went red- just like with a lot of the country including red states. Turnout made a difference in 2024 (Not disagreeing about their aims, just adding context which may or may not alter outcomes).

I think that not enough people of all colors aren't taking voting seriously enough. This has been a problem for decades. More people sat out the '24 election than voted for EITHER party. That's pathetic. WE had a mayoral election last year. Only 15% of voters cast ballots in it. Appalling.

You are talking to mostly supporters of the Democratic party, the party that held power for decades but somehow ignored the slow (but ultimately successful) takeover of the Supreme Court by the Heritage Foundation. A party that seems to mostly pretend to stand up to MAGA and the GOP.

True. We also need a higher percentage of non-white citizens to get out and VOTE! The highest voting bloc are seniors of all racial and ethnic groupings. The younger citizens have to get more involved- one reason for legislators who have served for decades to step aside & give the reins to them!

Note - this only applies to Trump friends and allies or people willing and able to make large payments directly to Trump personally to have him drop charges.

And the red states—I live in one—have certainly already given up their voting registration data. At least for the non-republicans.
