Stephen Colbert is -- and has always been -- a man who follows his conscience. That's an extreme rarity today. Imagine how great a country the U.S. COULD be if politicians followed their conscience and did the right thing for their constituents!

The downside of this interview kerfuffle as described by a friend in Texas is that Jasmine Crockett won't get the bump in publicity now given to James Talarico. The timing is critical. This segment is not a balance... it is focused on Rep Crockett's role on the Oversight Committee reviewing Epstein.

Honestly? He should just start doing youtube content in addition to the show. Then when his time is up he will have lost nothing. And gained so much more. Meidas with the addition of Colbert. Kimmel, Stuart and hell we can even have John oliver!
