Not “the media.” His PR team and right-wing propaganda outlets are media, but they are not “the” media.

Trump: *says horrible thing* the media: he didn’t actually mean it Trump: no I definitely one hundred percent meant it

For no mere mortal can resist the evil of the …

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "I could've done very bad things to Hillary Clinton. I could've done very very bad things to Joe Biden. I could've done very bad things to Barack Hussein Obama ... I can do whatever I want, if I want."

Schmidt: Isn’t it true that you had an affair with the fiancée of a steel tycoon’s son while on a transatlantic cruise? I don’t think you know that we have this nude portrait of her that you drew. Jack Smith: Do you think I’m Jack from Titanic?

In case we wondered how out of touch the GOP is with voters: The *leader of the GOP* doesn’t even register their anger as criticism — even when he sees it with his own eyes in his own self-curated social media feed. HE’S TALKING ABOUT YOU, DONALD!

I'll be willing to buy the desirability of data centers once they locate one in Beverly Hills and one next to Mar-A-Lago.

We've gotta make the Monorail Simpsons episode required viewing for every city councilor in the country. Every single thing he says here is a lie. A Potemkin Village Imaginarium.

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

Just really feeling appreciative today that Donald John Trump rushed the Covid vaccine through and took it himself and told everyone to. Good job Trump MAKING THE COVID VACCINE

Don’t we all close our eyes in reverence at funerals? I do it at sporting events too. UFC matches. NBA Finals. The World Cup. And high-level meetings. World summits. Press conferences. Parades held on my birthday.

BREAKING: A federal appeals court ion Tuesday struck down parts of Florida’s Stop WOKE Act, calling it a “breathtaking assertion of power” that unconstitutionally censors what state university and college professors can discuss with their students about race, sex and other forms of bias.

I talked to Mitch McConnell for 20 minutes today. We talked about Graham Platner, the Iran war, and what we should do about a potential vacancy if a certain official were to become incapacitated in an election year. “Oh, we’d fill it,” he said with a sinister smirk. Fill it, Kentucky!

The Sun-Times is public media, and IMO is pretty good (particularly since becoming non-profit).

Trump, obsessed with appearance, insists the capital be pristine for our nation’s 250th anniversary. He’s gussying up statues and the reflecting pool (never mind algaegate). He even dressed the Kennedy Center in seersucker. Yes, his taste is tacky (see WH Rose Garden), but THIS? For America’s 250th?

This is an incredibly smart sentence.

And it's why the biggest internet safety advice I give parents of teenagers is to make crystal clear that they will never blame their kid for being the victim, because that is the ONLY way they will ever know there's a problem. bsky.app/profile/raha...

So they’re finally admitting they pulled those “missing ballots” out of their recto?

shauna@goldengateblond.bsky.social

fake feds are investigating ballots that don’t exist from a made-up city. other than that, totally checks out.

We Are a Democracy! “We don't live in a democracy, we live in a constitutional republic." This is like saying "I don't have a dog, I have a golden retriever." A constitutional republic is a type of democracy. You didn't catch anyone in a gotcha. You told everyone you don't know what words mean.

I asked CoPilot, hardly a lawyer, but nor am I. It agrees a simple law won't cut it, but if I asked the other way, maybe it would have answered differently, to agree with me, since it wants to be friends, except not helping me steal stuff! bsky.app/profile/did:...

I'm That ANTIFA Holly@imthatholly.bsky.social

I told CoPilot to make me a sign: "Long-Haired Freaky People Need Not Apply". It refused, telling me it's a copyrighted phrase, but to know, it had to have it in it's training data—so, it will steal shit and won't let me!!! Then it lied, when I told it: evaluate the above as fact! 🤣

Hear, hear! But you’re SO delicious, cheese. I wish I knew how to quit you!

i stopped eating cheese, got my life together. things seemed okay. so i started eating cheese again. and since then everything's gotten worse.

I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.

Brian Goldstone@brian-goldstone.bsky.social

During freezing temperatures in Port Arthur, Texas, a 61-year-old homeless man was found dead in his wheelchair outside a convenience store. He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day. This is a diseased society.

Stephen Miller: "Eventually elections don’t carry the day because violence beats votes… When we see a muscular response from the federal government, it’s because we’re not going to let violence beat votes." Is he implying federal intervention determines political legitimacy, not ballots or courts?
