Six members of the the Supreme Court of the United States voted to let an executive order override the plain text of a constitutional amendment. And yes, at this point, I think SCOTUS needs the bench cleared before Trump.

We've known for a while that "the 4" dislike the Constitution and democracy, and see them as problems to be eliminated. The only solution would be to expand the Court. Many well-run civilized nations have supreme courts that are 15 or 20 strong, and experience no problems.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the USA can lock people away in ICE detention without a hearing or medical care, and their children born in ICE custody are US citizens who have all the rights and privileges we afford anyone else born in any of our other prisons.

Thirteen justices would be logical, then, considering that there are 13 federal judicial districts with only 9 SCOTUS overseers now available to monitor them. But the only thing Democrats can do till 2029 is cut SCOTUS funding till John Roberts deigns to respond to a congressional subpoena.

A CLEAR reminder that this court needs an overhaul. One where both the people sitting on it & their practices are examined in full view & reworked so that corruption can no longer thrive over our Constitutional rights.
