The court is captured! "A captured court is a judicial body that serves the political or ideological interests of a specific group, party, or leader instead of applying the law impartially."

"Today’s decision does not address whether the President’s attempts to interfere with States’ administration of the November 2026 elections are lawful. Nor does it suggest that the Executive Branch has any constitutional or statutory authority to implement the President’s directives." 2/

… but they’re allowing it to occur. They broke it but won’t fix it. They’re not ruling on the merits. Cowardly bastards. This is off the chains wrong and we don’t have time for this. Trump feels empowered.

PS: An important note: As part of a separate but related lawsuit, the U.S. Postal Service remains blocked from following Trump's directives under a nationwide ruling released Aug. 11 by U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Boston.

It's legal semantics right? I mean they DID file suit against a "proposed" rule. Thought WE were supposed to have the smart attorneys? Now they're filing suit AGAIN against actual rule now that it exists. The government's case for Federal intervention in State run elections remains exceedingly weak.

the GD prez lacks jurisdiction!! and so does SCOTUS!! methods and manner of voting goes to the STATES!! this is just bush v gore redux, folks. good news, i suspect/HOPE this will backfire on them!!

If my State puts postage on a ballot, sends it to me, and the PO refuses to deliver it, I should be allowed to sue them into oblivion. Their exclusive right to the mail should be canceled. The PO should not be a political arm of the White House.

Trump lacks jurisdiction. The Constituion gives the federal government zero authority over elections. This SCOTUS has made themselves illegitimate by their repeated rulings in violation of the Constitution.

The United States Postal Service is one of the last best blue collar jobs that pays a living wage, benefits, retirement, that puts food on the table, roof over your head, car in the driveway, vacation, ability to afford for higher education for your children. Of course Trump is phuqing it up.

The Post Office is a service, it's not meant to make a profit However there is a lot of money generated by the Post Office to be pilfered by the regime once they take full control. The waste is multi layers of mgt from the pmg down to supervisor.Instead, they'll terminate the people handling the mail

I want to see these motherfuckers perp-walked out of the Supreme Court in cuffs. They are open enemies of the American Republic. FFS, Thomas is married to someone who helped organize the attack on the US Capitol. Alito flies insurrectionary flags. They are outside the law & the Constitution.

· Lower court ruled Trump overstepped his constitutional authority. · Supreme Court has not ruled on legality — only paused the lower court's order. · Constitutional question is still undecided.

Please don't overreact to Roberts Court decision on the contemplated USPS ballot moves They simply held that the injunction came too early in the process, before there was a final rule👇 Now we HAVE a final rule & we will litigate it. I'm as confident in our arguments here as in any of our cases!

OMFG! They are going to allow the USPS to not deliver ballots, aren't they? I guess that might be what actually makes me become physically violent toward the GOP. Unfortunately, their bloodless civil war is going to eventually turn violent.

My expectation is that they restrict mail-in voting from urban areas but allow it for rural zip codes. There's one final court case that has a nationwide injunction. I don't trust SCOTUS. I give us a 5% chance to keep mail-in voting uncompromised. Trying to stay positive but it doesn't look good.

The GOP wing of the Supreme Court is in the tank for Trump and willing to trade democracy for some slimy snake oil salesman. Supreme Court reform is long overdue. Vote in person in November to unseat these weasels.

Roberts’ brazen defiance of the Constitution in service to Trump just goes on . . . and on . . . and on . . . If anyone still cares about our democracy, it’s time to PHYSICALLY converge on this court, by the thousands.

All this proves is when it finally comes to midterms and the eventually “election fraud” this Supreme Court will do anything it can to help maintain republican power

I am sitting in the sun, in an Adirondack chair with the dog at my feet, reading JH Ely’s little masterpiece, Democracy and Distrust. Nerdy. I wish he were alive still to deliver a verdict on the Roberts Court’s abandonment of the Court’s role in ensuring fair and plentiful participation. 1/3

The GOP lesson — in all three branches — is nothing more than a lesson in obtaining, but hook or by crook, power, and then working assiduously, if not legally, to hold it. I could fucking cry. 3/3

Translation: The illegal thing, ordered halted by another court, and which was started AFTER he was told that it would be illegal, will be allowed to continue until it is completed - at which time we will rule that it WAS illegal, but as it is done, that needs to be a different suit. Rinse, repeat.

I think a lot of people are missing the point: they won't mail you the ballots in the first place. That's the point of this "list". USPS won't send it to you. You can't take a ballot to a drop box if you never get it.

WTF! Wanna hear from the Secretary of State tomorrow if we're going to get our ballot in the mail. If not do we pick it up or vote in person? This bullshit by Trump and his Kangaroo Court should increase the turnout and votes against Republicans by 20% in 2 months!

I have not been following this that closely. But what I've noticed is that when Trump suffers a court loss on something he attempts, he will make a minor/immaterial tweak and force it to be adjudicated again. Perhaps this is an attempt to prevent him from doing this. I'm not that worried . . . yet.

Just the Supreme Court acting like your local Repub. clubhouse again. Every decision turns out exactly as you’d expect, and they insist they’re unbiased. Oligarchs, pay your dues on the way out.

Well, Mainers got out and showed their displeasure of Roberts just the other day. 😂😂 www.midcoastvillager.com/news/politic... #SCOTUSisBOGUS #RobertsCourtofCriminality #JohnRoberts #Supremelyillogical #SupremeStench (we haven't forgotten about you #ClarenceThomas and #Alito and #Cavenaugh)

midcoastvillager.comOyez, Oyez and Ahoy! Paddlers Protest John Roberts' Private IslandKayakers, canoeists and one dog made a watery dissent against the Supreme Court chief justice.

It would be nice if Trump would do something constructive for America or maybe just try to act somewhat like a president. He has nothing on the devil. Matter fact the devil could probably learn something from him. He has created a new word for sin or sinner.

Someone please leak the files. I feel that’s all that will stop this madness. They are all in it or supporting those in it.

Just wondering… SCOTUS is saying a lower court can’t interfere w/a Pres EO & also says they’re aren’t ruling on legality of Trump’s EO. So… If a Pres EO dissolved SCOTUS rulings & lower court said, no that’s not /legal/legit, Would SCOTUS say lower courts can’t interfere W/that EO too? 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

Step 1 block mail in voting ✅ Step 2 arm up paramilitary force loyal to trump✅ Step 3 paramilitary force on the streets harassing dem areas, minorities &poc on election day Step 4 destroy postal ballots Step 5 ignore results & refuse to seat winners Step 6 nuke Tehran and declare martial law END

What hypocrisy, tRump always votes by mail, but he doesn’t want us to be able to vote by mail. This is election tampering plain and simple

Then all hands on deck. We get out and drive people to the polls. States like CA have early in-person voting. Employers allow more time for employees to vote before and after work. We do everything to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote is able to vote. Greatest turnout in history.

The Republicans are running scared. Pulling out all the stops. Trying their best to make it hard to vote. Whatever it takes please find a way to vote. It's not a sales pitch. Your life and humanity is at state. Your future and family's rights and future is being taken away.

Thank Heaven for Boston! ‘As part of a separate but related lawsuit, the U.S. Postal Service remains blocked from following Trump's directives under a nationwide ruling released Aug. 11 by U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Boston.’
