Homelessness is a housing problem And Seattle is winning in the homeless category. 😢 The world is changing and if don’t want tents on your street, you need to support multi family housing But Seattle shouldn’t be like Houston, Austin etc and embrace sprawl… That means we build up our city.

"If you double the population are you going to double the sewage capacity? The electricity, gas, water? Double the road and especially freeway capacity?" yes. yes. no. yes. no, and absolutely the fuck not. hope that helps

They don’t seem to be aware of the massive amount of empty buildings, many of which were built as housing and more which can be converted. My house used to be a motel. So was my last one. I have no desire to live in a city anyway. Specially not the one they live in. Wherever it is.

If anything it’s a perfect setup for “double would put us right at capacity so we’d be looking to expand. That means the 10% increase we are actually talking about is well within current parameters.”
