This is Natty. He's the first official team dog for the Washington Nationals. He makes his big-league debut on Friday and will learn basic skills and socialization with the team before he goes on to formal service dog training with Canine Companions. 13/10

Canine Companions is a wonderful organization. I had the chance to meet one of their dogs years ago along with her paraplegic owner, and she was INCREDIBLE. ♥️🐾 I have never forgotten her. p.s. The dog I met was a Doberman. It is no accident that I have owned three Dobermans since that meeting.👍

I met one at dog camp. The owner was in a wheel chair and was also raising a puppy for them. He very generously worked with all our pups on being near wheel chairs and many of the dogs passed the CGC test before leaving camp thanks in part to him. 1/2

One reason I also supported Canine Companions after meeting him is that he taught his dog to play soccer and would take him to local parks where there was an informal game going on and let his dog play on one of the teams. He was so aware of letting his dog have fun time. 2/2

This our Canine Companion Madison who was a regular at the Oakland Coliseum before the A’s left. She got bumped from the program and she now helps us raise other service dogs. It’s a tremendous organization and deserves your support. All dogs are given to people in need free of charge.
