I actually thought I was going to get through this one without crying… and there was Simon… And me crying my eyes out. What a legacy he has left behind 😭🐾♥️

I have two labs. They make me laugh every day. And yes!!! They don't understand gradients. If they drop their ball on a hill, they are totally perplexed that it rolls away. They also like dropping their ball down cliffs.

I'm sad for Simon and his people. I'm cheering myself by watching poor Matilda fail to live up to the idea that dogs are all super intelligent. (Of course, she may well WANT to keep fetching that ball from the water. We'll never know.)

All lovely. Still, I think Beily deserves a top 1, due to their uncanny loyalty of staying right next to the corpse of her grandmother, at all costs. bsky.app/profile/wera...

This is Beily. He was miraculously found alive under rubble 29 days after the Venezuela earthquakes. He has since been reunited with his 11-year-old human Victoria and is expected to make a full recovery. 14/10 for all (TT: fuerzavzla1)

Oh.😭😭 I followed Simon when I was on Instagram, he was an amazing brother to all the fosters who came through his life. May he be a light.🕊️

I think she's enjoying herself. She's discovered a great way to play fetch for as long as she wants, and I think she's smart enough to set the ball down somewhere else if she doesn't want it to roll down in the water. Do agree though that some people need to learn when to put the damn phone down.

I watched this video as I'm getting through grief from having to say goodbye to our fifteen-year-old maltipoo Lily in July, and was not expecting to be freshly reminded of the farewell. I love WeRateDogs and the dogs they feature, but a trigger warning would be appreciated!

a tale of 2 doggos it was the best if times Mathilda = LOLing at her playing fetch all by herself it was the worst of times Simon = foster trainer extraordinaire passing much too soon “Here are the top 5 dogs of July!”

Having followed Simon and his foster buds on Instagram for the last several years and then finding you pay tribute to him and his loving parents this week, it reminds me what "community" can be. This is where social media does its best work. Thank you!

Thank you, I neeGded some pooch love today. We just let our Rusty go. He was attacked by another do several days ago. Most greyhounds don't do dog fights or surgery. Then the stress of taking him home, he had a heat stroke. Love you Rusty.

Simon was a worthy winner of the top slot. What a very good dog who will be much missed by all. Matilda made me laugh out loud as she sounds and looks just like my dog who would do just the same with her tennis ball back in her pre arthritis days.
