Human pollution/plastic waste is killing millions of animals globally a day; and killing humans too. Earth has lost around 75% of its total wild animal population since the 1970’s. Perhaps stronger environmental protections are needed for the survival of all species? Antichrist Trump does opposite!

That's why you need to cut up those plastic 6 pack rings. Late wife was vet tech and weekend animal rescuer. You don't know how many dogs, cats, animals get caught in them.

I’ve been doing that for as long as soda/beer has been sold in those rings. I try not to buy drinks sold that way, but if they come in the rings, I always cut them up. I saw a picture of a duck tangled up in some when I was pretty young, and I started then. My kids do it too.

Massively irresponsible to suggest any one should just jump into a seal area (thus scaring the rest of them) and try to rescue a seal like this. Can't you make the effort to point out this guy was likely a trained volunteer?

I was in a parking lot when a woman in my building drove by me and threw out her McDonald's bag. I got out of my car I picked it up and I delivered it to her condo door. She never saw me and I bet to this day she's wondering who dropped her garbage back to her door

I saw a man drop a fast food bag of trash out his car window in a parking lot. I picked it up and handed it to him and showed him the trash can maybe 20 feet away. I said your mother would be ashamed. He took it to the trash can. I hate litterbugs. We don't pay grocery store employees to pick it up.

It starts early. I've worked middle and high school, and there is a surprising number of students who just throw their trash on the ground, or they try and shoot it into the trash like basketball and leave it if they miss. I *always* make them pick it up if I see it happen. They know my look.

How many more seals and other sea animals are plagued by human garbage and an aren’t so lucky? Proper garbage disposal isn’t the sexy part of environmentalism but it may be one of the most important parts.

I wonder if there's any group out there fighting for this to stop? There are thousands of people on those cruise ship at a time and how many restaurants on those ships? And think of all the terrible food waste. Can you imagine the amount of feces in the ocean?
