I don’t really agree that the Dept of Justice should be treated as apolitical (it isn’t ever) or outside a president’s control. But the notion was sacrosanct to the mainstream & right-wing media just a short time ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they’re still trying to put Loretta Lynch in jail.

The Trump admin is moving forward on plans to impose financial penalties on Americans in default on their federal student loans and hire private debt collectors to go after them. The plans are unlikely to be announced until after the midterms.
