Trump takes money from polluters to exempt them from EPA emission rules and appoints lobbyists from industry to regulate themselves. The corruption here is staggering. POTUS is taking money to poison Americans and arguing national security to do it.

An effective way to stop the detention-deportation industrial complex is to disincentivize companies from doing business with the Trump Regime. Hit ‘em where it hurts the most: their profits

Katie Phang@katiephang.bsky.social

Private corporations like Sonesta Hotels are putting profits over people when they contract with Trump’s immigration federal agencies to detain & imprison migrants in their hotels. I explain a powerful new lawsuit has been brought to make them pay for their complicity: youtu.be/O2c7RdJLm8M?...

Join Moon on a morning meander around the Ithumba stockades! Her mum, ex-orphan Melia, is just out of frame, confident that her daughter is safe to explore – and Moon is having a marvellous time to-ing and fro-ing among the wild elephants and ex-orphans who join our dependent herd for fresh water.

Wild dogs are incredibly inquisitive by nature – and with our SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching rangers taking a break on patrol, it's hard to tell who is watching whom. Behind this quiet encounter is years of boots-on-the-ground conservation, helping this endangered species return to Tsavo.

I think this investigation needs an independent prosecutor to conduct a thorough, transparent investigation into Jane Doe's allegations.

Katie Phang@katiephang.bsky.social

There are NEW updates in the case of the Cornell 7 as more details are revealed, including how the alleged victim stated “with 100% confidence [she] was raped”. So why did the local DA only present certain parts of her written statement? I've got the latest reporting: youtu.be/tcsZBeeJk9k?...

Pete is lost in terms of modern war. I use the example of this outgunned Ukrainian army officer who successfully terrorized a Russian unit for weeks because she "did the math." At the time, someone commented, "yeah, in combat, 'I did the math' beats 'I can do 100 pushups' every time."

Reading has become an endangered species. Which is half the problem with American political life. Maybe more than half. If you can't read, you can't think. Then you can fall for anything. The idea, for instance, that the truth is fake news.

The indifference is not just at Cornell; our country knowingly elected a sexual predator… twice! There are so many examples of how our culture programs young men to be this way. We have social media platforms amplifying violent misogyny. Rarely are there ever consequences for any of it.

The cheetah is the world's fastest land animal, capable of reaching 120 kph – but it hasn't been able to outrun the human threats pushing it towards extinction. Fewer than 7,000 remain in Africa. When a cheetah named Milele was found with an injured leg, our SWT/KWS Mara Vet Unit answered.

As fallout from the Cornell story continues, do you want to hear some history about the rape-on-campus/false-accusation panic from someone who was starting college as it took shape? Because this isn’t new, and it’s going to get ugly

Yup

It is true that a Dem Congress will not be able to do any effective legislating under the Trump regime. But that’s a given. What Congress can do is investigations that drive stories into the media. Every day should have headlines about Trump stealing from us, about Trump harming us.

Here @apnews.com I fixed this headline for you. He didn't use a "rare authority" he violated the constitution. You're blatantly buying into administration talking points by saying he has "authority" to just decide not to spend Congressionally approved funds at the last minute

Lemeki and Thamana wasted no time this morning. As the water bowser rolled in to top up the trough at Voi, the two were straight there – drinking their fill before the fresh water had even settled. This is one of a dozen water bowsers we operate, travelling across Tsavo filling waterholes.
