The Grand Old Rape Party

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Harvard just dropped a study AI productivity in software engineering and it found the average increase in productivity from using Claude code is.....zero and for exactly the reasons you'd think fion.ac/jellyfish.pdf

I think one (of the many) reasons people find Nathan Fielder so “cringe” is because we’re no longer expecting interviewers to ask follow-up questions. When Fielder asks the obvious follow-up question it feels like a violation.

This is one of two essays I read this morning about friendships and reasons that they end. Both have given me cause for reflection on my own life experiences and relationships. This one in particular felt like it was written for me.

Right, so, male influencers are being sent out to tell Black people that resisting data centers is wrong actually because people don't understand how to really measure their water use. It’s an appeal to scientific expertise intended to intimidate Black people.

So many choices. “A young man.” OR “A longtime Republican operative” “A former aide to Republican Senator Josh Hawley” “A young man with deep ties to Republican candidates” But, “a young man.” We see you @wsj.com.

A young man asked Abdul-El Sayed if he would disavow the Muslim Brotherhood. The tense exchange has turned into a highlight for the Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan. Here’s what happened.

it is the same exact thing as demanding that black candidates for office “disavow farrakhan,” which happened quite a bit in the 90s and 2000s

James Goodwin@jamesgoodwin.bsky.social

El-Sayed is going to forced to disavow the Muslim Brotherhood at least a dozen times more before the midterms. The point is clearly not the answer. The point is the question. It's basically push-polling.

When you spout your tepid VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO bullshit who I hear is that you’re more than willing to throw immigrants and trans people under the bus for a few votes, and yeah… no.

This week, we opened 385 new affordable homes in Brooklyn. We’ll soon grow the Innovative Urban Village to 2,000 affordable homes, child care, jobs, a grocery store and a performing arts center. That’s what it looks like to build a city without pricing out the working class.

❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.
