i'm like "i'm non binary" and you're like "oh i'm an ally" and i'm like no no no i'm non BINARY you think goodness is good and badness is bad. you think beauty is truth. you think hills and valleys are opposites

this is good advice. this includes things like quote dunking and sharing screenshots. we don't need to engage with any of these jackasses at all, and angrily boosting them helps literally no one

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

if you're trans you're probably as terrified as i am about the future. but we have each other. without y'all i would have never followed through. you are without a doubt the most wonderful wild animals i've ever met in my life. so here's to our survival <3

People engage in some racist shit about a particular group and science, don't post something from the 12th Century--post people working *today*. There are lots of *every* group doing good, important science *now*.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Candidates from the Student List, who are not students themselves but largely first-time politicians selected by student-led popular assemblies, won a majority of seats in Sunday’s parliamentary elections, marking a seismic shift in Serbian politics.

Tear gas and other chemical weapons are harmful to public health and to our environment. Banned in warfare by the Geneva Conventions, these harmful chemicals should also be banned in the places we call home. Learn more here: 350pdx.org/teargas/ Learn how to take action below ⬇️

You fundamentally cannot believe male socialization matters AND believe that trans women are women. Either you acknowledge we are an oppressed class like all women and queers and trans people, or you are a transphobe

to claim to be a liberal party and then reject liberty is not something that is lost on voters. people don't want to vote for a lesser evil, they want to vote for good, people want goodness. loudly supporting genocide and legal proscriptions against healthcare for trans children—for example—is bad

Ian Boudreau@ianboudreau.com

I think people intuitively understand that democratic candidates tossing trans kids to the wolves is not only morally repugnant but also politically ineffective, otherwise they wouldn't freak out every time someone said they weren't voting for a democrat who did this

i stopped connecting my tvs to the internet in like 2018 and eventually tossed my chromecasts despite how convenient they are.

I own a fairly new Samsung TV also and it has never known nor will it ever an internet connection. if it's spying on me I guess it will have to be doing some connection shenanigans too in order to send it to anyone.

french graffiti on a de beers diamond store saying “qui sème la hess récolte le zbeul,” roughly “whoever sows misery reaps chaos.” i've pieced together that "hess" and "zbeul" are from algerian arabic, which again—really illustrates that the negativity towards these protests is mostly just racism.

roughly, "in the name of god, it's a sale" referring the french youth reappropriating the wealth from the big chain stores in touristy areas of france the arabic phrase is a good clue into why conservatives hate the student movement so much—it's being led by black muslim french citizens
