Tried that browser-based Resident Evil Outbreak thing earlier today. Interesting project! Bold choice to have the game assume I am always holding down the weapon-aim button so I can't actually move my character, but I'm sure it's vital to the online experience.
They call me the One Take Wonder, because I'm always saying "Just give me one more take, please, I swear I'll get it this time, please please, I promise I can do this" while they wonder if it's too late to replace me with someone else.
This is not a bit - I hate the Scrub Daddy musical ad that's running on Hulu during Scrubs, but I have so much respect for the actor doing the song-and-dance. That actor is really selling it. That's no small feat.
I mean, it's the job, but that actor is pulling it off.
As much as I would love to see a Switch 2 port of the Silent Hill 2 remake, that would require Bloober Team to optimize their game. And as anyone who has played the PC version knows, that's not their strong suit.

Zydrate comes in a little glass vial, but is now also available in an easy-to-swallow capsule. Ask your doctor if Zydrate is right for you. Do not take Zydrate if you are allergic to Zydrate.
LOS ANGELES!!! Don't forget to come to the IMMANUEL OPEN MIC downtown this Saturday afternoon, now with extra HEADLINING PERFORMERS to make it worth your while to come down and practice your OWN craft. Maybe you want to tell us a joke? Sing us a song? Newbies are welcome, so come on down.
When I'm Supreme Ruler of the Universe, I'll abolish capital punishment except in two cases: People who call customer support lines from their car and act like it's the rep's fault they don't have any of their documents to hand, and people who don't flush the toilet in public bathrooms.
Even if this were viable as a concept (that there's an afterlife; that it allows conversations with others; that enslavers are going the same place as you), who cares? Oh, are you mad at me, Ben Franklin? Tough shit.
If you've ever worked in customer service then the "Who's on first?" moment in You Can See Everything will feel incredibly, excruciatingly familiar. You will feel it in your marrow.
I don't know that the BioWare of the 2020s was capable of putting out the kinds of games they were making in the 90s, 00s and 10s, but that's also 8,000% EA's fault.
ok non-tech ppl might be hearing some scary things about "critical vulnerabilities" involving certificates. the main thing you need to know, without getting down in the weeds about it, is that the fourth seal is broken. lo, a rider approacheth upon a pale steed, and his name is Death
Consolidation is killing our industry. The Gamergaters who make money off the rage game will have you think this is a victory. This is purely a loss. A loss of work and art and fun and expression in a space that desperately needs it.
Massive fucking bummer.
jordanhass.com/podcast/q32026 HEY THERE IS A NEW EPISODE OF GAME SHOWS I SUPPOSE, THE PODCAST WHERE I WON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT GAME SHOWS, PLEASE GIVE IT A LISTEN
Me: My music tastes are eclectic and varied. I am a unique wossname what can't be duplicated.
Also me, assembling a list of the nine albums that Made Me: Fuck.
I just want Disney+ to know that if they want me back for the Glee revival, I'll do it. But only if the writing is of a certain calibre. Also I'd like some lines this time.
Well, Jingo is marvelous. Not my favorite Watch book - that's probably still Feet of Clay, unless you count Night Watch (which feels less Watch and more Vimes) - but bloody good nonetheless.
Up next: The Last Continent. Been a good few years since I read this one!
I'm working my way through the Discworld series again, and discovering there are books I thought I'd read but hadn't. I'd somehow missed Maskerade (why isn't it more popular with musical theater nerds?) and I definitely THOUGHT I'd read Jingo, but I'm finding I recognize almost none of it.
Also, having watched (and loved!) Wildwood last night, I would love to see Laika tackle a Discworld novel. For some reason, Sourcery leaps instantly to mind.
Wildwood is phenomenal. I cannot recommend it enough. Laika took all our favorite 70s fantasy movies, sprinkled in some Legends of Zelda and Lord of the Rings, and animated the absolute shit out of it. Go see it twice.
LOS ANGELES! My Saturday show this week is proud to announce TWO HEADLINERS including the wonderful @benpaddon.net!
Our open mic is free, performers get 5-10 minutes depending on turnout. If you want to get on the list, well, show up! We're in the big church at 3300 Wilshire at 2 PM Saturdays.
It's TV, not film, but almost every time the Eleventh Doctor is seen breaking something on Doctor Who, it's not scripted - Matt Smith is just incredibly clumsy.
We all know the "Viggo broke his toe" story but what's another movie fact you're personally compelled to bring up every time without prompting?
For me, it's the fact that Robin Tunney is wearing a wig in The Craft because of having just shaved her head to save her job filming Empire Records.
When MST3K met PlayStation in '98. While digging through some demo discs, it was a pleasant surprise to see Mike and the gang pop up to introduce PlayStation Underground's Best of Year One magazine disc.
Now that Steam Next Fest has started I want to remind everybody to not give games with AI any attention, to help you with this you can download this neat extension that will make it A LOT easier to filter through the slop! github.com/seeeeew/aiwa...
So many of the best lines from this show came from Jeff. Every so often I'll remember "I've got the key to the gates of Paradise, but I've got too many legs!" and have the stifle a laugh in public.
This is perfectly reasonable provided that the government is then allowed to dig a trench across the right of way leading to your driveway, disconnect all your utilities, and sit idly while your house burns.
βIβm old. Iβve paid my home off,β said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. βWhy would I pay property tax?β
Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.
