I remember standing in my driveway that evening, talking with all of my neighbors. I didn’t agree politically with some of them. Hell, I didn’t even *like* some of them. But that didn’t matter. None of us knew how, but we all knew our lives had forever changed, and we knew we were stronger together

One thing that makes me profoundly sad when I think about 9/11: We largely saw the best of America for a while after the towers fell. The “rally around the flag” effect was real.

I’m not sure ANY event today would bring people together like 9/11 did. The gap feels too wide, and the elites have a vested interest in keeping it that way. It’s a shame that we continue to play their game.
