I just think Matt's wrong about this. We're at a point in our technological development where a ton of problems spill over national borders--if Flavio Bolsonaro burns down the Amazon, that will flood houses in Miami.

I saw a guy I know posting about asking Gemini when AI will become profitable, and the response was not soon if at all. Except Gemini has no opinion, it just scrapes up human reporting. When you get an LLM to "testify," you're only showing you are forgetting how to research something yourself.

In that ad where two execs use Copilot to come up with a different strategy from their rest of the team and we hear "Sometimes hunches pay off, maybe with a raise" -- apparently no consequence for sharing company internals with Microsoft who might then share them with any competitor who asks?

Someone tell Malcolm Gladwell maybe there are other reasons it's hard to hire enough police.

A Florida man was found dead in his home during a welfare check in July 2022. Weeks later, one of the officers who discovered his body moved into the home and spent years impersonating him, according to investigators.

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

Let's be clear, the Brewers absolutely earned their wins. But also, the moment that the Dodgers gave a World Series ring to a certain special boy, some of us have had a pretty strong feeling about how this season was going to end for LA.

Dang if only there was some way to figure out how this happened 🤔

El-Sayed: JD Vance called me a little weasel today. No, what you’re talking about is a fucking wolverine.

Let's be honest, that thing where you pay a fee and get "ordained" so you can do your friends' wedding, that had to have been set up by the Writers Guild of America because it's twenty times more effective to have your characters married by someone they know instead of by an actor you just met.

Jesus, of course, famously stopped a public execution (stoning) by declaring "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Suspect people like the one quoted below would have no compunction about casting that first stone.

Trump supporter at rally defends public execution based on Christianity. I'm Serious: “We’re a Christian nation, and that means that we’re not going to let Satan get his way.” There are no words for how dangerous MAGA is to our nation. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/10/u...

📌When Democrats win the WH in 2028, the arts are going to positively explode into a million colors at the Kennedy Center. You will see some of the greatest shows and artists in history. It will be an ongoing celebration of everything that is still good, decent, and beautiful in this world. ✊🏼

No announcement, however, that any streamer has agreed to carry this. Any company actually carrying this is telling us everything about who they now are.

Camp Home Alone 2 is what we should call the new Camp David that Trump wants to build at Mar-a-Lago. Like his appearance in that movie, the new facility will be gratuitous, unnecessary, and yet more of his desperately leveraging anything he can for self-aggrandizement.

ICE just kidnapped a woman at LAX airport Saturday Oct 3, 12:50AM. A community member was able to record when several ICE goons who refused to identify themselves grabbed the woman, put her into a van and then drove off.

Warner Bros--now is the time. It's been an awful 2026 and you won't even exist as an independent studio after next month... So, do the right thing, and release HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SAGA: CHAPTER II. It's what the people want. It's what the people deserve.

Remember that Trump resisted naming a son after himself "because what if he's a loser?" So even if he doesn't run again (which SCOTUS might let him do as a special boy), he won't endorse any successor. He'll make a big show of "letting them earn it." The only successor he'd ever endorse is Ivanka.

Here's the Washington Monument surrounded in scaffolding for repairs during the Obama administration. Let's ask Trump, if he deserves his name on the Kennedy Center for repair work, when he will start referring to this as the Obama-Washington Monument.

This is the other thing I want people to make sure they know. This art center that became a memorial wasn't just built by a couple of rich people donating big chunks. It was families buying Christmas cards. www.kennedy-center.org/memorial/jfk...

My mother bought so many that we had left over to use again years later. I remember sitting at a table with my now dead mother trying to write my name. It’s not his building. It’s ours. Journey of the Magi Christmas Card. Painted by Jacqueline Kennedy. Proceeds went to build the Kennedy Center.

Is it a big deal that the U.S. president is telling insane lies that he personally rushed to the site of 9/11 and heroically acted like a first responder himself? Sorta seems like it should be! Maybe?

I was at protests like this in LA along with people from my congregation. Across the street was a group of self-identified veterans who keyed our cars and accused us of stealing from them the American flag we had brought with us.

Decoding Fox News@decodingfoxnews.bsky.social

I just wanted to share this video. Approx. 500,000 New Yorkers showed up to protest the U.S. entering the Iraq War. We didn't want more violence in our name. Iraq did not attack us on 9/11. This is about 1.5 years after the attack. I was at this event. youtu.be/jGYMpv0qRBI?...

I was onstage as the Voice of Puck in a staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream by the Connecticut Ballet, while an impossibly perfect human danced the role a few yards to my right.

We also need to call his little projects out for what they are: MONEY LAUNDERING. Hes done it all his life, steal absolutely every not nailed down, then declare bankruptcy & bail. Exactly what he's doing to us: a reflecting pool here, a border wall there...shit never gets done once the check clears
