We’ve been awarded a $300K non-dilutive grant, and I’m insanely proud of our team for pulling this off. More to come soon!
We’re proud to be an anchor project in the @mozilla.org Foundation Human-Scale Al Incubator. We’ll be doing this alongside a cohort of builders making purpose-built tech sized to the problems it’s meant to solve. Seven more spots are open now with up to $500k over two years in non-dilutive funding.

Chris has been testing out Zena with his WASI component model polyfill, and now I have to return the favor and test his polyfill out! This looks amazing! Not enough Wasm runtimes support the component model yet, and this brings them to the future. 🚀
This one goes out to all the #wasm component model enjoyers out there: compile, link and instantiate Wasm components on the web (and non-web runtimes that implement Wasm core) today with this handy Rust polyfill! github.com/dialog-db/wa...

This interactive demo compiles @zena-lang.dev programs at runtime into Wasm components that import constrained network and DOM manipulation capabilities from the browser host. Even the Zena compiler is integrated as a component :D dialog-db.github.io/wasm-compone...

Youre worried about AI taking over the world you should be worried about billionares and the far right.
Humans are not aligned. We have competing objectives, incompatible values, imperfect information, wildly different risk tolerances, and occasionally outright malicious intentions. And yet we build remarkably safe systems using humans as components.

Just p2p replicated dialog db with @cdata.earth over via @iroh.computer ✨It feels pretty realtime

New blog post on zena-lang.dev: Designing a Programming Language for the AI Era zena-lang.dev/blog/2026/09... Includes why I think a language good for humans and WebAssembly is good for AI, and why Zena is a project that's optimistic that humans have a place in software development.

Here is an @iroh.computer teaser, showing web browser finding a iroh node (on my machine) replicating two dialog db's that you can connect to via WebRTC transport (without relays)

People have asked if I have kofi, I'm doing okay financially but if you REALLY want to throw $ at me, please consider pre-ordering the folk-horror TTRPG I made with @sinisterbeard.bsky.social . We put a TON of work (human work!) into it and would love for it to do well www.blightshollow.com

I wrote about what I've been up to with my new programming language! Zena targets WebAssembly GC, with a TypeScript-like syntax, sound type system, and lots of cool features like pattern matching, async cancellation, borrow checking, WASI integration, and more! justinfagnani.com/2026/09/09/z...

Looks like @1password.bsky.social is an enthusiastic sponsor of DHH, which brings them below the waterline on “trusting to manage my secrets” Recommendations for an easy to use personal secret management system? Vaultwarden comes up a lot, do people I know like it? Other recs?
Oh. Wow. Shocked. Jason led the charge. > Huge shout out to jmeller for leading 1Password's participation! I somehow keep ending up building foundations that are a perfect fit for Jason and his company (hello Rails Foundation)! It's incredible to have his and their support once again.

with a bit of perspective, I wanted to write this post which reintroduces spaces as a new primitive for atproto! spaces are a deeply social & "atmospheric" primitive & I kinda think they uniquely thread the needle on our design goals

Fun fact: about 6% (2000 out of 34000) of the links saved to @semble.so includes at-tags.
As a gentle reminder, I think we should be advocating for personal websites to use at tags (and I would like to figure out a migration story for @standard.site to use these tags for verifification)

Some of you haven't watched Andor, probably because you (otherwise rightly) think that nothing interesting can happen in the Star Wars franchise. I have to say that's a mistake, though.
btw I’m finally watching Andor and fuck me running this is television. I love how it’s not really about The Rebellion but about rebellion in general. Switch out some places and doohickeys and it could be about any occupied resistance. Gilroy the GOAT
It's easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of LLMs.
I've started to notice that many of the most "critical"/"skeptical"/"practical" takes on AI are so steeped in pro-AI framing that they immediately give away the plot. They can't say a sideways word without first rolling out platitudes as if to calm the pro-AI before the mildest take.
