$SPCX - SPACEX PLANS MOON FACTORIES POWERED BY HUMANOID ROBOTS

Weird response from IGA: essentially, it’s not our fault. No statement about removing it from sale.

Even weirder is response from distributer Tuscani Beverages: it can’t be our vodka, someone else must be counterfeiting it. No statement that “we are urgently testing our product to confirm that.”

"A vote for Binface is a vote for Labour." Proving that not all slogans on a party leaflet can be translated seriously when contesting against a joke candidate. Or Count Binface for that matter.

Several interviews with "business people" along the lines "Good idea, but ... it makes cash-flow management more difficult". Translation: "I may have to rely more on my own money instead of borrowing interest-free and consent-free from my employees". Yeah, I think they should shut-up about that.

When Clinton had a sexual affair with a White House intern inside the building, the White House press corps took it as a personal insult. Meanwhile, Trump has repeatedly defiled the White House and Washington in much uglier ways and attacked journalists directly and they can't stop kissing his ass.

Anthropic and OpenAI are dangerous and unsustainable companies that shouldn’t be taken public. The AI bubble is a con and retail investors are the marks. AI doesn’t have ROI, it’s nothing like AWS or Uber, and it’s got no post-bubble recovery story. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKD...

People are free to say they oppose Acknowledgements of, or Welcome to, Country, thereby identifying as dull & amateur drama queens. They're not free to disrupt solemn public commemoration ceremonies with racist heckling. That's called disturbing the peace & being a fully-assembled, arrestible tool.

I can see how Vice Admiral Justin Jones was a Scott Morrison pick to be Commander of Operation Sovereign Borders His giving permission for racist expression is disgraceful & he should resign

This is an incredible tweet.

To be fair to Pink Floyd, that album is not really about “dark side of the moon”, or science. In fact, the only reference to the title is an audio vérité disclaimer at the end: “There is no dark side in the moon really. Matter of fact it’s all dark.” Which should clear up any confusion. 😀

Dark side ≠ far side. The far side receives just as much sunlight as the side that faces us. The Dark Side of the Moon is an album by Pink Floyd. Otherwise, it is a transient thing.

Quality line up in South Australia Election! "Because he is now in Prison" With the track record of LNP & PHON looks like they might give the Independents a go for members with Mug Shots!🤔 (Ex Liberal Party of Australia (SA) (2014–2017))

Cheers to everyone who delayed fossil fuel phaseout by saying "you can't switch off fossil fuels overnight" Because thanks to them everyone now has to face a situation where fossil fuels are switched off overnight 🙃🙃🙃

While browsing Discogs I discovered these Keith Jarrett twofer CD compilations with astonishingly bad cover art ....

Multiple copies of original art tessellated (why?), with every instance cropped. Biggest element is the Impulse! Records logo further obscuring original art, and providing background for redundant artist/title text ...

And everything is at 45 degrees. Why? So we can make the record company logo go diagonally and be EVEN BIGGER!

Australia Day is such bullshit. NSW proclamation day at best. At worst a celebration of the crimes of colonisation. If you have to acknowledge that the day is a source of pain for many, that’s a damn good sign it’s a shit day to have as your national day.

He seems surprised that the bullshit-generator (that he chose to use) generated bullshit: "Our AI has messed up". But then he confesses to who has really messed up: while all posts were normally reviewed before being posted, some had been made public by mistake while he was out of the country.

abc.net.au'Our AI has messed up': Tour operator offers non-existent destinationsWeldborough in remote north-east Tasmania has lots of natural beauty. But it does not have hot springs — and it is causing headaches for locals.

A side-effect of the growing amount of "AI slop" is how it is making all the stupidity, laziness and incompetence in the world more visible. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not, but is definitely more exhausting.

Remember: 26Jan has been recognised as a Day of Mourning since 1938, in recognition of the invasion, dispossession & numerous massacres by British invaders against Indigenous Australians since 1788. It has only been a public holiday as Australia Day since 1994. Facts matter. History matters. #auspol
