What is being ridiculed here as “Woke 1” is a discursive environment wherein racism/misogyny/transphobia were largely considered beyond the pale. The right, out of fear and rage, fought back to reclaim space for that mode of speech. This is a complete surrender to their terms.

I like AOC, but her making light of Woke 1 is basically her saying, "We all went too far," and it's giving the worst chuds a space to mock social justice. If Woke 1 went too far, why are we living in this current environment? They should be saying we were right and we want to go further.
