When you wonder (or don’t) about where your plastic trash ends up, it’s in our oceans. The debris gets blown from landfills and public spaces into our waterways that feed into the ocean. This impedes wildlife from living in clean areas. They suffocate from being unable to digest it or eat at all.

Oregon wildfire update: the vast majority of the land currently burning in Oregon’s active fires was open for logging or actively managed for timber harvest prior to the ignition of these fires. Loggers leave tree tops and dead organic elements on the ground with no obligation to cleanup.

The largest dinosaur weighed around 85 tons. Some male blue whales weigh as much as 200 tons. A blue whale's heart is 6 feet wide and weighs 400 lbs. The largest animal that ever lived.

Haoko the Gorilla loves spending time with his kids, but his missus doesn't allow it when they're too young, so he "abducts" them, forcing the mom into a harmless, playful chase. It's sort of a family tradition, as he did it with all 3 of his kids. Original post

Spring has arrived and Huckleberry and Hawthorne are coming out of torpor! After a long winter of slow time, our rescued grizzly bears are easing back into the season the best way they know how, by stretching out and enjoying some well-earned lounging time. Not a bad way to wake up, if you ask us.

The horrendous cut off of oil to Cuba has taught us one vital thing: true independence comes from sustainable energy sources. The only benefactors of the oil industry are the billionaires. We deserve better, our planet deserves better, and our future deserves better. #StopDrilling #Renewables
