It's crazy how we have both the World Cup and America 250 this year, and almost no one cares about them because this regime has wholly sucked the joy out of even momentous national events.

He’s the stupidest person alive. You can’t even BUY a ticket on a flight to a foreign country without all your documents saying you’re allowed to go into that country legally!!!! They will find no “illegals” coming off flights. This is just a way to tackle and terrorize more brown people.

Q: Will we see ICE arresting illegal migrants at airports? TRUMP: Yeah. That's why the Democrats are going crazy. ICE loves it because they're able to now arrest illegals as they come into the country. It's very fertile territory.

One of the things that really trips a lot of analysts, including ones with real skin in the game, is that they refuse - absolutely refuse - to accept how stupid Trump very obviously is. He has no knowledge of anything, is incapable of learning, and only remembers the last thing to happen to him.

The president has illegally declared war to stop fentanyl trafficking from a country that does not traffic that drug, claiming its leader is trafficking drugs himself, the day after pardoning a former leader of a country who is a convicted drug trafficker. Just to level set

The National Guard wouldn’t have been shot today if Trump hadn’t sent them into DC in the first place — when nobody asked for them and nobody needed them. Now he’s 500 more as a “response” to the chaos he created. did I get that right?

I found this piece sad too, but mostly because it is part of a years-long effort by progressives to understand what "really" animates Trump voters. We already know! It is racism, misogyny and misinformation. I know that sounds condescending or whatever but it's simply what all evidence suggests.

i really resent the continued assertion that there’s so much anger on both sides, as if the causes of the anger are equally legitimate. we’re angry because masked maniacs are violently snatching our family and neighbors off the street, and they’re angry because we’re calling them out for it.

The East Wing Desecrators Given the extraordinary and unprecedented destruction of the entire East Wing, built in 1942 for the Office of the First Lady, it’s important to note who enabled this. In this thread, I run through the companies and organizations involved and provide contact info. 🧵

If the right accuse the left of something (terrorist sympathising, communism, antisemitism etc) the media will ask the left to defend themselves from that charge. If the left accuse the right of something (racism, fascism, colonialism), the media will ask the left to justify that charge.

I asked a Christian baker to write Charlie Kirk on a gay wedding cake and we've been staring at each other for 39 straight hours now

the president of the united states wants to use the american military to kill american citizens on american soil. that's the whole story!

The narrative is that shooting at Trump and Kirk is political violence while January 6 and Gaza don't exist and ICE abuses are the normal course of business

I'll merely note that today, like all days, is a great day to stop posting on Twitter, a platform whose owner force feeds this slop into people's brains with an algorithm designed to boost his views and trample yours.

We have a bit of a natural experiment here. Compare the tone, quantity and duration of Charlie Kirk coverage with that of the two Dem lawmakers gunned down in their homes in Minnesota 6 months ago. May be revealing.

This should be the front page of the New York Times and every news org. It's major. No, don't slough it off as a joke. Trump declares war on American city.

A pre-dog-walk 🧵 on the pandemic. To me, the lesson of the pandemic is a very familiar one, although as far as I can tell, no one is talking about it or learning it (which is also familiar). It's about the contrast between America's two political parties.
