Left my ER shift to news of the shooting in Oregon. And this type of gun violence is less than 5% of all gun violence. We are not asking to take the guns. Just responsible owners and to keep guns out of the hands of people who pose a danger to themselves or others. Why is this so hard?

Three years ago today, we worked with President Biden to create the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. President Trump shut it down on his first day back in office. But we’ve never stopped fighting and we won’t stop until we end gun violence & bring this office back for good.

The Trump administration is refusing to enforce a nearly 60-year-old federal protection that bans handgun sales to 18, 19, and 20-year-olds. This is very bad. Our kids and communities deserve better.
