i don't think anyone should run explicitly on banning online gambling but i do think that a democratic-led government should just quietly take steps to undermine the industry and create an inhospitable regulatory environment

Lula won in part by banning online gambling

The high tide in Los Angeles set a new record this morning, based on preliminary data. San Diego tied (no pun intended) its record, but there may have been a data glitch. Slightly higher tides are possible tomorrow.

San Diego and Los Angeles could experience record high tides next week. Model guidance predicts Monday’s tide in San Diego being 2.5ft above a typical high tide. Tuesday will probably come in around 2.6ft, which would be the highest in San Diego history. Record tides are also possible in L.A.

Possibly the first time I've seen Anthropic publicly mention climate change and it's...arse-covering in their public filing 🫠 Also hand-wringing that they won't be able to gobble up enough fossil fuels because all the other AI and data centre companies are also trying to gobble up fossil fuels

though they report test scores stats for most demographic sections they don't for Black or Native kids because there are so few that it would cost the kids anonymity. There are so few black kids that they're test scores would be revealed if they were in statistical reports. Holy crap, Palo Alto.

Oh. That's really sad.

When the weather outside is warm enough and dry enough I hang out and play with my dog for hours per day. I am lucky to have that time. She is pleased about this. Mind you, when it's cold and rainy I only come out a little less, and I wear a warm coat and huddle out of the rain. She's still happy.
