Farage tying himself in angry knots here ... as he refuses to answer the basic question: Is it racist to call Kemi Badenoch a "Nigerian scammer"?

This is how you interview... don't ever give someone an easy pass.. just keep coming back to the point they won't answer. Too many journalists allow politicians to move too easily and and get their pitch in.

Reform are in a real bind. They can't condemn racists because it drives them to Restore, but they can't appeal to the majority whilst refusing to condemn said racism. Their best hope is that the Tories continue to slide into the gutter and drag the "mainstream" with them.

Thanks for the lesson in linguistics, Nige. Silly me for thinking there is such a thing in our language called a "phrase" which combines individual words together to give a distinct meaning from the words taken separately. At least "racist twat" works either way.

so in Nigel's own words as he "does not tell the truth"[see his recent scandals and investigations and what he has said to defend scandals/investigations]..... HE IS HIMSELF A "SCAMMER", Nigel Farage October 2026

If Kemi has had the good fortune of being funded by the untimely death of a prince (and oil minister obvs) of an African nation, via a scam originating in Russia, then good luck to her. Not dissimilar to NF’s web of good fortune.

A desire which the media is prepared to indulge, because it guarantees viewing figures and clicks. The BBC ought to be better than this, but, sadly, isn’t.

Never forget that the BBC played a huge role in creating this monster. And now they nibble around the edges pointing out that someone he knows said something bad rather than tackling him on his own racism, economic illiteracy and the disaster of Brexit.

Every single MP should , for months , begin their speech or question with “ I am a Nigerian scammer….” so people don’t forget.

He doesn't look good on hate and racism. Farage is screwing himself not answering question, accuses others of doing that. The sooner this tiresome little man is gone the better for the country.

Trying to pin him down on the racism seems to be giving the racists room to say calling her Nigerian is merely descriptive. They deliberately miss the point that pretty much everyone knows the comment was deeply offensive, as was intended. Farage won’t even acknowledge that.

He knows he’s fucked. He’s about to be thrown out of Parliament. He’s rallies are being ignored, his jokes aren’t working and his little chuckles aren’t deflecting the issues any more. But as usual the BBC platform this odious racist instead of treating him with the contempt he’s due.

Interesting to note that he can't even bring himself to condemn the use of the word "scammer", which in itself is inflammatory and potentially dangerous. The language and rhetoric that gets a pass from Reform is unbelievable. They can never be allowed near power.

Does he really think that people don’t recognise that the whole phrase is more ‘problematic’ than its individual components? Does he think we’re thick?

"B: he's in America & C: he's Indian" ... which is offensive against American culture suggesting "its ok to be racist in USA" & either " An Indian can't be racist to an Nigerian, as neither are white" or "Indians are racist " or "Indians don't speak English as we do".

He’d make a shit poker player, he starts to snigger when he’s rattled and you know he’s seething when the fake guffaws start. Obvious ‘tells’

Subtitles I’d like to see “Yes it’s racist to use that phrase and yes this came from a close personal friend/ colleague and I support it because I’m a nasty racist too. I endorse all forms of degrading racist language but get even more excited if there’s racist rioting potential too” .

There are massive issues between certain sections of the Indian people. Some might call it racism, classism or ethno-religious. Simply saying he's brown so he gets a pass doesn't cut it. See Braverman, Yusuf and a massive bunch of brown republican racists.

It'd be a bit like someone casually branding Miliband a "Jewish Moneylender" and the defence being "Well he is Jewish and the Foreign Office does have an aid budger."

The term itself isn't racist- unfortunately a lot of known scammers come from Nigeria. Was it intended to be racist? - definitely. Raheem Kassam is of Indian origin, a lot of indians are racist and religiously intolerant. Kemi legally holds dual citizenship by descent under Nigerian law.

🌍 Top 10 countries associated with online scam offenders According to the World Cybercrime Index (published 2024): Nigeria 🇳🇬 United States 🇺🇸 Russia 🇷🇺 China 🇨🇳 Romania 🇷🇴 India 🇮🇳 Ukraine 🇺🇦 Ghana 🇬🇭 United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Brazil 🇧🇷

I've never had an Indian one, although there are plenty. I've had "dealings" with Indian call centres and I've always found them rude. You try to explain a problem and they jump down a rabbit hole and nothing will move them. You did the right thing all scammers are scum

Of course he isn't a racist because she is an opposition party leader so he is entitled to call her whatever he likes. That gives me free licence to call him a lying, treacherous, sexist, racist cunt who needs to know that. That aside, he should be banned from TV interviews.

His chances of joining the billionaire ranks, ie, by becoming PM, are diminishing rapidly. A panicker, and incredibly thin-skinned, can you imagine this racist guy having his finger on the red button? Terrifying prospect. Robbie Gibb stands by him though, the BBC desperate to see him in No 10.

So, as well as often rewriting history, Farage is now trying to rewrite the dictionary. A scammer isn't just a liar, which Badenoch often is. It's someone who uses trickery, illegal methods, or lies in order to obtain money, data, or valuable assets from others. 'Nigerian scammer' is a racist trope.
