Musk's DOGE boys took a 'sledgehammer' to the federal govt & services people relied on. Now they're getting rich off the pain they caused. DOGE was never about efficiency, it was about breaking the govt & selling it off to Trump's billionaire buddies & allies. Endless grift.

If you’re feeling political despair, I strongly recommend going to canvass or table for a candidate you believe in. It’s fun! And they will train you before you go out and pair you with a more experienced person if you’re nervous
I've been canvassing for the first time (for LA's DSA-endorsed mayoral candidate, Nithya Raman!) and I was really nervous, but it's actually quite fun and easy. Just walking around knocking on doors, giving people pamphlets, and meeting neighbors.

many states, including California, also have an option to drop your ballot off directly at a elections office dropbox or election center and avoid USPS on the way back all together, which I'd recommend if possible.
If your state votes by mail, put your ballot in a mailbox AT the post office. Dont send it like regular mail. It's TOO IMPORTANT

Have you seen any reporting on how solar power generation in the USA is 5 times higher than it was in 2020 in mainstream outlets? If not, why do you think this is not being widely covered the same way other large technological changes are?
Official monthly data is in today, and US solar power generation hit a new record high, up 20% compared to this time last year!

Even in detention, Parias remains a journalist. He began reporting on the horrid conditions that he and other detainees endure. Through video recorded by his visitors and accounts relayed to other reporters, Parias exposed the worm-like creatures in drinking water and roaches in the cells.

Two married professors and their son are being held in ICE detention, despite being legal permanent residents and having no criminal records. All, apparently, because their mom/MIL was a translator for the Iranian hostage takers in 1979, before they were even born. www.thenation.com/article/soci...

ICE has detained or deported more than 50 spouses and parents of active-duty U.S. service members. How can our service members focus on their jobs while their loved ones are being ripped away from them? This is unacceptable and unpatriotic.

Back in early 2025 a bunch of centrist Dems got spooked by Trump's win, turned on their base, and decided voting for Laken Riley was the smart political move. Next time, try just having a moral compass and acting on it consistently!
In hindsight, Angie Craig voting for the Laken Riley Act a year before the ICE and CBP shootings in Minnesota was a huge miscalculation.

it's maddening. and not only this, renewables are now the cheapest form of electricity AND fossil fuels have suffered repeated severe price shocks AND EVs are now price competitive with gas cars
It's kind of crazy how large a swathe of the American intelligentsia have just decided to completely ignore climate change at the exact time when climate change is having serious material impacts on America

The biggest technological revolution of our lifetime and it has nothing to do with AI, crypto, metaverse, robots or any of the other massively hyped "tech" the media always talks about instead
Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West

It is funny that this person thinks “immigrants defended the union while native born whites sought to destroy it in the name of slavery” is an argument against immigrants being Americans. This is precisely the point, nothing about being born here makes you better bsky.app/profile/aphc...
Another datapoint for the fascist radicalisation of institutional pillars of much of the American Right
