Marco Rubio is against birthright citizenship. But Marco Rubio *is* a birthright citizen. Ted Cruz is against birthright citizenship. But Ted Cruz was born in Canada. He only got US citizenship by a birthright citizenship law because of his US mother. They are both shameless hypocrites.

We're less than a decade away from turning into a third world country. The sort of country where corrupt politicians are bought for £5 million and have all their expenses paid by convicted criminals.

"Check their voting record and you'll find they voted against workers' rights." We went to Clacton to speak to people about the upcoming by-election.

Reform UK have tabled an amendment to the UK Government’s elections Bill which would mean candidates using any language except English or Welsh would face up to six months in prison. This is outright discrimination, and we will stand firmly against such prejudice and ignorance.

Casual ignorance of the Good Friday Agreement is on brand for these English nationalists

The penalties are drafted to apply across the UK – including in Northern Ireland, where the Irish language and Ulster-Scots are protected in law and under the Good Friday Agreement designed to end the decades-long civil war. bylinetimes.com/2026/07/13/r...

The thing about Kemi Badenoch's purge of any Conservative member to the left of Enoch Powell is that she's so close to a Tory revival if she only realised it. All she needs to do is to lead a party that is not obviously mad and wait for Reform to crumble, but she can't even manage that

Telling your followers to burn down hotels with asylum seekers in them is "hurty words". But Dan Hodges doing a few tweets is grounds to call the police.

Reform and their supporters now trying to reframe all journalistic scrutiny of them as being dangerous political attacks, bordering on terrorism. A preview of what we could expect from a Reform government

Just finished the third season of Shrinking and feeling bereft: such wonderful characters and brilliant jokes all wrapped up in a profound and poignant story of loss and love. Also so proud of Brett Goldstein - an old friend from the comedy circuit who is now absolutely flying.

Claire Fox, definitely “sneering” here, is a lanyard wearing unelected bureaucrat in the very “establishment” snooty House of Lords! What a self own.

Miffythegamer@miffythegamer.bsky.social

Does snooty establishment elite “Lady” Fox realise that the “lanyard class” includes airport cleaners, hospital porters, call centre staff and office workers? Didn’t this shit-stirring contrarian once claim to be a leftwing Marxist?

Microsoft: $101 BILLION in profits. $12.5 BILLION in tax breaks. $176 BILLION in stock buybacks. 4,800 workers fired this week. 9,000 workers fired last year. Please don't tell me trickle-down economics works. It never did. Nothing trickles down.

What’s that, Dale? You want to give me an unconditional personal gift of £5million to do whatever I want with? Sure! I just need to fill out a form. If I didn’t declare it that would be silly.

In politics, we’re torn between ideals and practicalities, aspirations and realities, the world as we want it, and as we find it But one day a manifesto comes along that reconciles both in every pledge. A rare moment of clarity and hope

Chris Mason at the BBC is wrong. A new Primeminister settling in to his role and setting the national agenda is not the equivalent of some bloke's (with unexplained financing) performative whining. Let's focus on Burnham and not the other bloke.

Why is it Americans need a very precise description for a sport/leisure activity e.g. Horseback riding, yet they call Handball Wrestling football and proper football something beginning with S.
