I'm now a single issue voter, and my issue is getting the NFC East off my television screen

ProFootballTalk@profootballtalk.bsky.social

On Sunday afternoon, it's 5-2 Browns at 5-2 Steelers, 4-3 Ravens at 5-1 Bills, 6-0 Vikings at 4-2 Lions, and 5-1 Chiefs at 5-2 Broncos. On Sunday night, it's 2-5 Eagles at 1-4-1 Commanders.

obviously we won't know the final answer until the playoff at the end of the season, but this BYU-Notre Dame game is going to go a long way helping us figure out The One True Religion

When the primaries start for real in 2028, please ask a Californian why we do not want Newsom to be president.

Gwen C. Katz@gwenckatz.bsky.social

Things Gavin Newsom has vetoed this week: -A ban on secretly recording people with smart glasses -A ban on ICE agents working for the state government -A ban on websites selling your data -A bill giving native tribes more say over water rights -A bill protecting transgender healthcare providers

I also don't understand why the legislature refuses to ever override his veto. Especially this year. He's a lame duck. The Democrats have a super majority. Take a stand for once!

I miss Mike Tomlin so much during Steelers games. But it's amazing to see him making the most of post-NFL life.

Mike Tomlin is currently giving a tour of his boutique hotel in Minecraft, which has a multipurpose conference room and an appropriate number of public restroom and I’m losing MY MIND

This may be unfair, but I'm morbidly interested in whether certain Cornell faculty are as worked up about this as they were about the encampments

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

Yeah, it doesn’t seem like the NYT has given any coverage to the frat gang rape scandal at Cornell. Not as important as Oberlin’s banh mi or Harvard’s eating clubs I guess

After Marshall and Northern Illinois I'll never take easy wins for granted... But it's hard to even want to watch a game like this ☘️🏈

I got to listen to @chriswarcraft.bsky.social speak at UCLA Law today. I have admired him since he wrote about his blacklisting in retaliation for his support for LQBTQ+ rights for Deadspin back in 2014, and I hope he wins his assembly seat this November. Sometimes, being in law school can be fun.

“you have to admit he’s doing some interesting stuff! you have to admit he didn’t get a fair shot before! you have to admit he’s popular!” I don’t have to admit anything, I will always be a hater. he’s not sustainably putting anything together

It's hard to believe that my summer clerkship is coming to an end next week. I have learned a lot about how to fight vigorously and professionally on behalf of my clients, and I am looking forward to taking the lessons I learned this summer and applying them to my 2L coursework. #EJAFellowUpdate

I felt this. Must've been literally right under me, because a M2.4 quake is nothing.

I can't believe my summer with NLSLA is more than halfway over. I am feeling far more comfortable interacting with clients now than I did in May, and I am very grateful to my team for the wide-ranging experience they are offering to me. #EJAFellowUpdate

I think a valuable lesson for us onlookers on the other coast is that the SF DSA would benefit from being more like the NYC DSA. Mamdani and AOC > Dean Preston

I attended my first hearing yesterday, receiving permission from the SSA ALJ to observe via phone. I was surprised by how quickly the hearing transpired and beyond impressed by the live interpreter communicating everything instantly while on a conference call. #EJAFellowUpdate

Just found out I will be observing my first-ever hearing next week as part of my summer clerkship! It's exciting and a little nerve wracking to move from 1L to actual court proceedings. #EJAFellowUpdate

After ICE deported Wendy Hernandez Reyes, it turned her 3-year-old son Orlin over to her sister’s estranged partner, who tortured Orlin and beat him to death. I can’t say what I think should happen to those responsible without violating this website’s TOS. www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...

On Reddit, Orange County residents are very justifiably angry that local authorities are posting vital evacuation information on X and Instagram…which both require accounts if you want to be able to view videos easily and completely. How many people use neither? This has got to stop.

I didn't even vote for this guy. The attack mailer just pissed me off. It takes 30 seconds to Google and learn that California crime is at record low levels. And it takes one second of critical thinking to understand no data from 2020 should be projected out long term.

cjcj.orgCalifornia Heads for Record-low Crime in 2025With 2025 crime data now available for 82.2% of California, including all 15 major cities, the state is headed for its lowest levels of crime in many decades.

I've never been to the city of Charlotte but I've flown through the airport at least a dozen times, and I look forward to Bojangles every single time

Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium is set to trade gorillas with Boston’s Franklin Park Zoo. Frankie, Pittsburgh’s 7-year-old male western lowland gorilla, will head to Boston, and in exchange, Boston will send 33-year-old Little Joe the silverback @triblive.bsky.social 🦍

This is only the third Mother's Day since I lost my mom, and it's wild to me how quickly the holiday lost significance. I didn't even realize it was Mother's Day until the announcement on my flight this morning. Miss you Mom 💜

Ah so Instructure (parent company of Canvas) was actually hacked on May 1, with the hack disclosed to the public by May 3. But yesterday (May 6) Instucture's Chief Information Security Officer Steve Proud said the company investigated itself and found nothing wrong!

I wonder if Steve's post to the Canvas' user forms on May 2 instructing users to ignore issues regarding validation keys had anything to do with the hack? ShinyHunters is known for using social engineering strategies to gain access to targets.

Other surprising non-educational victims of the Canvas hack that I've spotted on the list include the Canadian House of Commons, USA Swimming, Apple Inc. (!), Charles Schwab, American Cruise Lines, Anheuser-Busch, LexisNexis, LPGA, Fire Department of New York, Government of the Northwest Territories

California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, Federal Bureau of Prison, Library of Congress, Department of Veterans Affairs, ADL, AARP, and Hello Fresh.

Looking through the Canvas hack victims list again to procrastinate studying and I noticed the Miami Marlins on there? Why would the Marlins use Canvas??

what the hell is this framing of Callais by the @nytimes.com?? the ruling has been near-universally condemned because it's racist and illogical, not because of the "liberal tilt" of most law schools.

Notre Dame has become the first program to have the first two running backs drafted in the same draft: ☘️ Jeremiyah Love (No. 4, Arizona) ☘️ Jadarian Price (No. 32, Seattle)

The frequency at which March Madness manages to have three or even four games cut to commercial break at the same time makes me feel conspiratorial
