A few weeks ago I launched "Figures", a daily number puzzle inspired by the NYT's short-lived Digits game. The idea came from a video of a toddler solving math problems on Countdown. I built my own spin on the concept to bring it back to life. Play it here: figuresgame.com

The rush of quiet gratitude I just felt to the dad who just had his kids buy two copies. There really are a lot of great people in the world.

Speechless. The 5th and 14th amendment explicitly say that there MUST be a hearing, amongst a slew of other rights afforded by procedural due process. The fact a secretary of the US govt said this and folks are not outraged and in the streets is just bonkers atp. Living in hell rn.

When the US Govt. is return to qualified & competent individuals who are serious about their positions & responsibilities, we must demand that congress pass new legislation that provides remedies to remove & prosecute staff that do not obey the law or keep their oath to uphold the constitution.

I was certainly no threat. I asked my congressperson what his red line was to finally, vocally oppose the lawless administration and he didn’t answer the question, so I called out for him to answer it and he had me removed. This is what the ISA has come to. The constitution is in shreds.

It is hard to describe the magnitude of our grief as we mourn the four young lives lost in the tragic Chatham car crash on Monday. This is something no parent, no family and no community should ever have to bear. All those touched by this nightmare are in my constant thoughts and prayers.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if there is NEW evidence that would change a determination *already made by a judge*, the government needs to present it in that court and get the determination changed. Re-litigating a judge's determination based on old evidence on TV isn't due process

He’s threatening media companies who are critical of him. He’s talking about sending Americans to foreign prisons. He’s signing executive orders to investigate former staff members who spoke out against him. He’s defying the Supreme Court. Don’t you see what’s happening here?

You really see the incentive trap with the Bukele stuff; this is objectively extremely important, from the standpoint of liberal democracy it is one of the worst things the administration is doing, and politically there is essentially *no* serious constituency for loudly opposing it. Bad IMO!

We’re now deep in the red zone for our constitution & democracy. They disappeared a lawful resident. The courts ordered his return. They refused, saying they can’t force Bukele to do so. Bukele now says he can’t send him back. If this holds, they can disappear anyone. No due process. Permanently.🧵

It's simple. Everyone in the US enjoys the protections of the Constitution - even visitors. So if someone commits a crime here, you give them due process here. You charge them here, try them here, and sentence them here. You don't deport them to an offshore torture prison.

Can we just step back for a second and process this? The entitlement is mind blowing. Vance speaks as if every single bit of land and every human being on earth is the property of DJT and he’s just been nice enough to let other people play with it ‘til now. A truly delusional perspective.
