Getting dizzy listening to these yahoos complain that Iran is a hotbed of religious fanaticism and then turning right around and acting like religious fanatics themselves.
Hegseth: "Shot down on a Friday -- Good Friday -- hidden in a cave, a crevice, all of Saturday. And rescued on Sunday. Flown out of Iran as the sun was rising on Easter. God is good."

McCormick: "We were horrible in Vietnam until we did Rolling Thunder Two, then we won. As soon as we do half-measures, we lose. The faster we get this over the better. If we seize Kharg island, it could be done almost flawlessly. If we have enough firepower, it would be very easy to defend."

I’m as old as the rocks in the river but I can tell you from my college experience that you can combine fanfic and beer pong with red meat and supplements, no problem at all—though of course it’s not recommended by me.
The newest evangelists of the MAHA lifestyle are teen and college-age women who have seemingly traded fanfic and beer pong for supplement regimens and a diet of red meat. We spoke to three of them. nyti.ms/4m3ZFef

We need to end prediction markets for government action. NOW. This bone chilling story about a reporter’s life threatened bc he simply reported on Iran missile strikes: “After you make us lose $900,000 we will invest no less than that to finish you.”

America is a great place to visit and most Americans are very nice, outgoing people. However, if you are considering visiting the US from a foreign country right now, you have rocks in your head.
U.S. hoteliers were promised a World Cup boost, but lagging bookings less than three months ahead of the tournament are giving the industry the yips.

This is no different from Putin saying MH17 was shot down by Ukraine or Assad saying rebels gassed themselves.
Reporter: Did the US bomb an elementary school and kill 175 people? Trump: Based on what I’ve seen, it was done by Iran. Reporter: Is that true Mr. Hegseth? Hegseth: We’re investigating. Trump: They are very inaccurate with their munitions. It was done by Iran.

Counterpoint: Limiting how US troops can be used illegally in unconstitutional wars of the president’s own choosing *IS* supporting “the troops.”
TAPPER: You know that if you vote against an additional $50 billion of funding for operations in Iran, that vote will be cast as you voting against the troops. CHRIS MURPHY: Come on. The American people do not want this war. If you support the troops, you should be voting against this war.

Stories about the illegality of the Iran War under both international law and the US Constitution and War Powers Act have featured on the front pages of Süddeutsche Zeitung, El País, Le Monde and papers all around the world. Not, however, in major US papers. Something is seriously wrong.

Worth noting that Japan using peace talks with Washington as cover for their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor is one of the reasons we were so fucking furious at them on December 8, 1941. It's WHY FDR called it a Day of Infamy
Throughout the entire Cold War, "peace talks in Geneva" used to mean something. Those days are now over. The United States used the Geneva talks as cover to finalise military operational planning for an all-out offensive attack. Nothing but a cynical charade. An illegal war. 21st century hell.

The motions are “unopposed” because Trump now sits on both sides of the case—as the defendant and as the glowering visage who looks out from tall banners on the walls of a subjugated DOJ—and Judge Cannon did not allow any of the third parties who sought to intervene to argue for disclosure.
NEW: Judge Aileen Cannon permanently forbids the Department of Justice from releasing Volume II of Jack Smith's report on his prosecution of Trump. Also bars DOJ from sharing "any information or conclusions" from the volume. A sweeping, perpetual gag order. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

In the infantry, we didn’t back down from a fight. In a democracy, you get to decide who’s gonna fight for you - the patriot, or the politician. Join me in this fight.
I’m Alex Vindman and I’m running for the U.S. Senate. Chaos, corruption and sky-rocketing costs are crushing ordinary people, while the billionaires and career politicians profit. I stepped up when my country needed a soldier and now I’m stepping up again to fight for Floridians.
