I resigned from ExxonMobil today. I spent the last three years doing fossil fuel extraction research at both BP and ExxonMobil. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing to maximize extraction while the window to act closes, and gambling with our lives. More below.

Riddle me this. If somebody donates £36 million to a political party and £5 million to its leader, how is the £5 million not political? Asking for a parliamentary standards commissioner.

Farage is an old Alleynian son of a stockbroker, former |City trader and hedge fund bro, whose mythos was largely created by the BBC. He's right: vote against the establishment. Vote Binface.

When the banks needed help, they called it “stabilizing the economy.” When airlines needed help, they called it “protecting jobs.” When corporations got tax breaks, they called it “pro-growth.” When working people need health care? “SOCIALISM.”

Netanyahu sure seems to be in charge of this huddle with Trump’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Blowing People Up Pete Hegseth. Graham’s funeral an excuse to plot how to continue the war no Americans wanted.

In case anybody who has to work for a living (rather than - like Nigel Farage - born into a rich family, and now a millionaire) thinks Reform UK are on their side "Both Reform & Tories voted against workers rights." meme via Leighton Pickering

Trump’s $2bn bonanza heralds the rise of political grifters across the west. Political office is the key to riches as power/influence traded. Nigel Farage using the Trump model in the UK. Personal riches whilst neglecting parliament duties. Must end political corruption for a better future.

The multimillionaire Nigel Farage rails against climate action, while gliding from one air-conditioned building to another. He knows that he and his ilk will suffer least. But he is prepared to sacrifice everyone else to the demands of his fossil-fuelled funders. So much for "the man of the people".

Nigel Farage and Reform have said they will repeal the Equality Act - a key piece of legislation that prevents against discrimination in Britain. It protects citizens from discrimination based on a whole range of characteristics including age, race, and religion. Why can’t UK media explain this?

Peter Stefanovic@peterstefanovic.bsky.social

Its a shocking indictment of UK media that people don’t understand what Farage’s policies will inflict on the country - if they did support would quickly melt away youtu.be/KxOQRt8PQys?...

Since our political leaders and media have decided that the only reason Henry Nowak died was because the police are too woke, here are my two cents, based on what I've read of the public information 🧵

Many UK birds are harmed by climate change: Upland species’ ranges are contracting; Phenological mismatch is affecting many; Ranges are moving north; Warming seas are damaging food chains; Drying soils reduce invertebrates; Winter visitors disappearing Approaches ignoring this WILL fail.🤷‍♂️

Why is the price of energy linked to gas? 🤔

UK is approaching an energy milestone that would have seemed impossible during the Industrial Revolution #OffshoreWind has become one of Britain’s strongest energy advantages due to favorable coastal conditions. Massive offshore installations now generate electricity at utility scale #ActOnClimate

A Labour minister unable to condemn Reform's plan for the mass deportations of our neighbours. Cowardly and disgraceful. Labour are incapable of standing up to Reform's divisive nonsense. Only the Green Party have the courage to do this.

Solar power for dummies: The sun throws tiny packets of energy (photons) at Earth all day. Solar panels are built with materials that get excited when those photons hit them. That excitement knocks electrons loose and creates electricity. 1/

Just as there were people who resisted the introduction of inside toilets, seatbelts, women’s votes, lead free toys etc Tice & his party are similarly reluctant to embrace what most people can clearly see is needed. Unimaginative, regressive, fact averse idiots. Let’s never let them run our country.

Doesn't pay any tax in the UK because he ran away to the Tax Haven Singapore to escape the effects of the Brexit he helped create. Then he bought up hundred of millions of pounds of farmland to avoid tax, then cried when it was made taxable. James Dyson is a scumbag.
