It seems that the distribution company was suddenly sold and they pulled the movie. The article says that the movie is now on prime (but it’s not- at least not yet), and no mention of it going to HBO next, but that’s to be expected since Ellison owns that now. mashable.com/entertainmen...

I’m glad I saw it in the theater this past weekend. It didn’t have a lot of info that I wasn’t already aware of, but it was still great to have it in one place, to see the patterns in behaviors, and maybe especially the St Clair interview. Not surprised but still stunned bsky.app/profile/leas...
I made sure to seek it out to see in the theater because the more views in the theater, especially early in the run, the more likely it is to be in more theaters, being in front of more ppl, etc. Also, it’s slated to move to HBO but that is Ellison’s now, and the billionaires look out for each other

He needs to be impeached just for being this stupid. It's embarrassing to have someone this stupid in front of a microphone.

A superb explainer of the ethical transgressions in the proposed RFK Jr-funded trial in Guinea-Bissau—a trial that appears to now be truly dead, but I suspect the researchers & RFK Jr will keep flogging the dead horse & try & find a way to revive it (eg, at RFK Jr’s new NIH vaccine injury center?)

JUST POSTED: Today at The NYT we are publishing a major investigation into how President Trump used his executive powers to expose millions of Americans to greater cancer risks. A six month-long investigation built on more than 10,000 pages of FOIA records. Read it www.nytimes.com/2026/10/24/c...
Yes yes all of that of course from someone that’s too late to the party AAAAAAND how about we make some sort of a law that says that anyone that stands to gain- contracts, payouts, or armaments- from the US cannot give even a penny of financial support to those that make our laws?

You might not be a professional with a design title - but when you're forced to think about the thing you're making, you're at least doing what designers do. AI didn't "democratize" design. It took away the very thing that could make everyone designers, because it made that thinking optional.

Today we launch the first episode of my podcast. I interviewed Whitney Mitchell, whose fiancé and caretaker Garrett Foster was murdered at a BLM protest in 2020. Foster's killer was convicted by a jury and given a 25-year sentence. Then Texas Gov. Greg Abbott pardoned him.

The name of New Mexico is funny because it's one of those things that you'd think is really simple (oh, it's it used to be part of old Mexico, so we'll call it New Mexico!), but it's much more complex New Mexico as the name for the area predates Mexico by several hundred years!
But, like, New America wouldn't make any sense because this is still the original America and... You know what, forget it

"What's the point of writing about national security—or, for that matter, of having a national security apparatus at all—if the men in those jobs (it’s mostly men who fucked this up) can’t spot the most obvious domestic threat to U.S. national security since the bombardment of Fort Sumter in 1861?"

If our system of justice can determine that shooting a one year-old is justified, then we do not have a system of justice, and our goal should be the eradication of the system we have and its replacement with something better.
JUST IN: The police shooting that killed 1-year-old Kohen Wiley as he sat in his mother’s lap in a Walmart parking lot in Senatobia, Miss., in June “was justified,” Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch’s office said on Monday. Her office will not charge the white officer who shot the child.

IRS refuses to publish report. Ahead of the midterm elections, the Trump regime is withholding detailed information that illustrates how King Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act hurt millions of Americans. The data from the IRS was originally scheduled to be released in July & updated in September.

Trump's continued attacks on @repilhan.bsky.social the Somali American community, & our Muslim neighbors are a heinous attempt to distract from his complete & utter failure as president. Every American should be chilled to the bone: these are the actions of a dictatorship not a democracy.

It matters that she's a member of Congress. This is an extreme escalation. He is attacking a member of the one body with the constitutional power to hold him accountable and check his crimes. And he's doing so trying to gin up a fake basis to strip her of her eligibility to be in Congress.

Hey Democrats, Canada here. Let's be clear: there's no coming back from this that involves Sorkinsian compromise across the aisle. There IS a coming back from this that involves Nuremberg trials and extradition of cabinet members and a new constitution, but less than that isn't going to work.
I do not think an exec branch led by a man who thinks he is entitled to treat federal agents as an arm of his firm, refers to Somali Americans as “garbage” and has said racist things specifically about Omar is capable of neutrally applying the law to her, to put it mildly apnews.com/article/ilha...

Wiki: "From 2022 to June 2026, Schwartz was President of Insurance Solutions for Medicare and Retirement at United Healthcare... She additionally joined the board of directors of Georgia-based home care provider Aveanna Healthcare in May 2021..." Not unimaginable then.
It’s simply unimaginable that CDC Director Dr. Erica Schwartz has just bowed to RFK Jr. and approved funding for an utterly unethical clinical trial that will withhold the birth dose of HepB vaccine in Guinea Bissau. It is to be conducted by researchers accused of academic misconduct.
