*so important*: if you’re voting by mail, assume the USPS will delay because it’s its policy. You can: —put it in drop box —go to counter to watch them postmark in front of you —if you’re dropping it in a mailbox, do it VERY EARLY.

This is what he said. He says “small price to pay” twice. The first time is clearly about gas prices, which suggests that the second one as well. Obviously he is not speaking coherently but I believe that is what he meant.👇👇

This starts with her aggressively trying to link him to the Muslim Brotherhood. I'd like to see someone turn the tables on this. "You're Christian, right? Did you support Timothy McVeigh? Did you agree with Dylann Roof? Or Eric Rudolph? Robert Lewis Dear? No? Even though you share their religion?"

El-Sayed on Fox: "There is this argument you try to make often is that the best way to take this problem on is more war. How has that worked out for us? The war in Iraq which this channel spent years and years pressing -- has that made us safer? Are we more safe because of the war in Iran?"

Honestly don’t know how we continue functioning as a society with such a small number of people vacuuming up this much wealth. Basically the equivalent of the US defense budget was rerouted to 500 people in just the last nine months.

I think of Schlichter as the would be L Ron Hubbard of white nationalism. But a shittier writer.

Elizabeth Spiers@espiers.bsky.social

Wired just did a story noting that an influencer named Kurt Schlichter is a “civilian government advisor” (?) to Hegseth. This dude has been around forever in internet time and writes the worst novels that are basically Turner Diaries fanfic www.wired.com/story/a-pent...

Local police and sheriffs, deputized by the federal government, are detaining immigrants during traffic stops. ICE is now detaining more immigrants than ever before.

Having just finished this, I would recommend it as a very interesting look at an underappreciated part of Canadian history from a variety of perspectives. Like any collection of shorter papers it sometimes leaves me wishing things were covered in more depth, but it’s an excellent starting point.

Trump: "Zelenskyy has to do one thing -- he has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia. He's causing a shortage of diesel fuel. This isn't done by the Middle East, this is done by what's happening with Russia and Ukraine."
