I think you instinctively know that making stuff is a balm for this sort of vertiginous horrible feeling. It has to be about coming back to the joy of creating, because, ultimately, no amount of external validation stops it - it's like paying protection money

The idea that it's just a few bad apples in Reform is such bollocks. You get every impression that the whole fucking orchard needs to be condemned.

This Clacton resident summed it up perfectly: being part of the EU helped keep us safe. It's time to restore our EU membership.

Yep. It's the "monetisation of everything" that gets me. We're already there with every American product — which is why we desperately need European alternatives based on a different biew of what life is supposed to be.

Jeffrey Donaldson given 15 years for child sex abuse. Cue the outrage from the likes of Reform, calling for all middle-aged overtly Christian men to be deported. No?

If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

Oh please. I can answer this right now: they attract racists because everything they stand for is racist. They have no policies on the economy, education, NHS, housing, transport etc just anger and hatred. The investigation will be how they got stung, not why are their councillors racist shits.

Reform UK councillors and candidates filmed making graphic threats of extreme violence, expressing racist and misogynistic views. Bromley councillor calling for King Charles to be killed. That's the kind of people Reform attracts. It has normalized hatred. What would a Reform govt unleash?

It seems that Nigel Farage has taken the hint and has decided to spend more time in his constituency of Clacton. So much so that he has bought a new house for himself and his family in the local area:

Andy Burnham is right, challenge Farage on the results of Brexit, it is his weakest flank, and a result he has thus far avoided, and he can't defend Andy Burnham says he holds Nigel Farage 'significantly responsible' for UK's miserable decade

Seeing absolute hatred and absolute love for the Citroen 2CeV on the SkyLine. Which says to me the design is a success. But I think the haters are completely overlooking how transformational a £13K EV could be for the lives of many in the age of £2 a litre fuel.

What is the rate of “false” diagnosis? What is the actual harm done? Especially when the main intervention is “understanding and reasonable adjustments”? Or is this just the transphobic moral panic collecting another set of victims?

The war in Ukraine isn't ending, and Russia's threat won't disappear. European countries must buy more cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, drones, and interceptors for themselves and Ukraine. We must stop thinking short-term and place massive long-term defense orders
