here it is: the biggest single piece of art I’ve ever made 😳
Inspired by eyewitness book ecosystem cutaways, it’s sort of uh a psychological ecosystem of metaphorfish as one does

Stickers! My first foray into sticker making- I’m especially pleased with the anti-ai set (and have been rocking them on my iPad and sketchbooks)
Some very limited sexy wattos and pringling ones here! I figure they are for about 7 people cumulatively, but come early if that’s you! 😅
The Bestiary Sketchbook worked out great with Mixam- 96 pages of sketches and doodles selected from across the last decade. There are a bunch of rare deep cuts in there that have never seen the internet! It was fun putting this together to see how some things change and some just stay the same 😅
May as well indulge in a little more sharing, eh? The Art of Jellybots books turned out better than I imagined- really Big Feelings holding these in my hands.
Got to dig into spot glossing and embossing and the belly band and even down to customizing the thread color for the binding!
It’s happening!!! Table 636 in the back by the snacks!!
Here’s a quick catalogue of what’s I’m bringing to Lightbox Expo
this week! Not one, not two, but THREE new art books debuting, my first ever stickers, pins, totes- 😵💫
I could not be happier with how it turned out...feeling Big Feelings seeing it on my desk after all this time.
And it's only one (the chunkiest) of 3 books I'm debuting at the expo this year
D23 has been a blast at the Lorcana booth! Thanks for everyone who has come by to say hi. There's still time on Sunday to hang out if you haven't had a chance yet. Standby lines will be open and we try to keep things moving so there's a good chance to get your signed poster. See you there!
Attack of the Vine! I had the absolute pleasure of painting some of my favorite Pixar characters for the packaging key art of this excellent new Lorcana set. What a fun, manic scene to put together but I'm happy with how it all came out.
Come meet me at D23! I'll be signing posters at the @disneylorcana booth all weekend. There's also an exclusive D23 Woody card available, painted by yours truly. See you guys there!
Grown ass adults like “trans rights are precious to me, but I want to see the bad guy’s face on back of the silly guy’s head again, so what can you do”
Over a year ago, we built a prototype for a new Myst Universe game meant for publisher eyes only. This project is NOT in active development, but we're proud of the work the team did, and wanted to share it with you all.

A new example of Meta shithousery. This is a post of mine on Instagram (left). Click the dots top right and this advisory note appears (right). I never use ai, never will. Why would they do this? Who benefits? Are they just trying to make viewers think everything is genAI so they just accept it?
I’ll be at the Illustrators’ Fair in London next Saturday (July 18th - a week tomorrow). It’s at Granary Square, Kings Cross. 11am - 5pm. I’ll have prints, posters, books and some extra goodies too. See you there!
Lindsay Graham was not just one of politics’ greatest worms, he was one of AMERICA’s greatest worms. Now he is in worm heaven, playing with that that great worm rock n roll band. Goodbye forever, monumental worm, you believed in nothing and it all worked out!
thanks! ☺️ for the inking I used one of the standard procreate brushes (I’m not sure which, maybe Timberline?) and for painting I think it was mostly @maxulichney.bsky.social‘s watercolor brush set!
It's finally time for me to get into Blender. Does anyone have recommended tutorials and resources for a 20 year Maya veteran (that isn't Blender Guru)?
I think my needs for now are basic scene blocking and lighting for painting references but I'd like to eventually get into Grease Pencil an more.
Consumer facing "A.i." is about triggering the excretion of a mediocre product. It's a rejection of PROCESS. Life itself is process, not fucking product. Push "A.i." on kids and you rob them of the joyful experience of life itself. I am not exaggerating.
Feeling very thankful for our lives these days.
Sketched live in the grass at the Rose Bowl and finished at home. Testing some new #procreate brushes in the process. #MaxPacks
PSA: Bluesky's new auto-tagging moderation stuff is a disaster. Disable it.
Go into Settings on the Bluesky site and enable adult content and set everything to Warn at most, which makes posts opt-in. Hide just vanishes posts.
Then go into Advanced/Bluesky Mod Service and do the same on everything.
Now that Jorge Gutiérrez has stepped away from his AI project I'm feeling a lot of things. I'm glad that he listened but the fact that he signed on to begin with assumes he thought it would go fine originally? That's insane. The resulting outrage was the most obvious outcome.
It's nice to feel the success of our community's unified pushback. It'll act as a warning to anyone else thinking of doing anything similar and hopefully it will make studios pull back. Wishful thinking I'm sure.
As for Jorge, I'm not sure where I stand yet. I'm happy to see he learned something and changed course. I still feel a bit burned and skeptical but for now I'll lower my pitchfork. And I'm leaving my original posts up just in case.
This really is it, this is the part that keeps me raging against the machine. Every day of my career I’m shoulder to shoulder with incredible people, pouring their skill & point of view into the work they do, making choices that amaze and delight me. Frame by frame, drawing by drawing…that’s THE job
‘Amphibia’ creator Matt Braly speaks out against the use of AI in animation:
“If you need to partner with AI to get a greenlight on your project, it ain’t worth it.”
