NOTE TO ANYONE TRYING TO COMPARE EARLY *OR* MAIL-IN VOTING IN MICHIGAN TO 2022:
DON'T. Just don't.
--In 2022 we didn't HAVE early in-person voting.
--In 2022 only seniors & a limited number of other adults could vote by mail (absentee ballots)
--we also didn't have drop boxes or pre-paid postage
#MeanwhileInMichigan: Over 1.21 MILLION ballots have been returned for the November 2026 election (16.4%).
Based *purely* on county-level Trump/Harris results, the projected Dem portion of ballots cast so far are 1.8% more Dem than the *final* results from 2024.
In battleground Senate races, almost 13% of Hispanic and 11% of AAPI early voters didn't vote at all. Compare that to 3% of white early voters.
Why does that matter? In early vote analysis you have to consider if these voters would have just voted anyhow...
Administration has a real data manipulation problem:
- DHS exaggerates immigrants who’ve left US
- Patel's FBI pads crime stats
- IRS hides tax cut data until after midterms
- Census excludes immigrants

RFK Jr, meeting with the Kent County GOP alongside Mike Rogers and John James, railed against the Muslim Brotherhood by claiming the organization is “why you don’t see any Arab Muslims winning the Nobel.”
Beyond a new rape allegation, the @democrats-judiciary.house.gov report implicates current Attorney General Todd Blanche, stating he "may have engaged in criminal obstruction of justice while acting on a mission to protect Trump," referring to an interview with Ghislaine Maxwell. Seems like news!
Will anyone—anyone at all—ask Trump about the rape allegations published in an official report by the House Judiciary Democrats? Or will he continue to escape accountability for his violence?
A serial rapist was elected twice as President, a fact we don't reckon with nearly enough. Now one of two major political parties has been molded in his image, run for and by violent sexual abusers who hate women.
Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States.
"In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct."

The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.

NEW: I'm joining a coalition of AGs demanding answers from Meta for suspending the No Kings Coalition's Instagram during nationwide protests.
Meta must protect legitimate political activity of its platforms. We won't let Big Tech censor activism ahead of Election Day.
BREAKING: President Obama has endorsed Angie Nixon for U.S. Senate in Florida.
“Angie has spent her career standing up for working families.
I believe Angie will be an outstanding U.S. Senator.”
"If it comes down to a choice between wolves and livestock on western public lands, the clear winner is wolves. Let’s extend the benefits all across the American West. The case for leasing public lands for livestock production? That’s a tougher sell."

From Zelenskyy. Patriot interceptors that could save innocent lives are sitting in European countries for weeks, which they paid for, unable to be transferred to Ukraine because Hegseth refuses to sign off.
NEW: At least 18 voting centers in Alaska Native communities have not opened despite early voting having already started in the state last week.
“There is no legal excuse for the failure to open these sites,” one state senator wrote to the Alaska elections chief.
NEW: Ingram, Texas, was just rebuilding from a devastating flood when its tiny police department enrolled in ICE’s 287(g) deportation program.
Within a year, cops would hand over the equivalent of 10% of the town.

In about 24 hours, poles will open here in Israel. In what is a strong contender for Israel’s most critical elections. The election pits Netanyahu’s extremely unpopular coalition against a non-coherent, but moderately more liberal, opposition. Here are some thoughts as we head into it.
I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.
Meanwhile, pro-democracy, pro-Europe protesters in Tbilisi, Georgia, are tonight nearing their 700th consecutive day of protest against the pro-Russian government.
They haven't missed a single day in the last 23 months.
i think it's a little underemphasized because the main comparison people want to look to is Talarico, but Hinojosa is also polling better than Beto '18 did
See? There is no secret “defeat fascism once and for all” belief system.
You just do the work, every election. Far left, center left, it doesn’t matter.
Learn the lesson: Stop pretending you’re special and just fucking vote for Democrats.
Lula has been reelected president, Brazilian media has now called.
An extraordinary comeback for the left-wing politician who trailed by 2 points in round 1 but managed to hold off Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president's son.
Ramaswamy’s team wanted to drop the Hag from Hell end later this week, much closer to Election Day, to prevent Dr. Acton from being able to fundraise off the backlash and deploy those resources.
Oh well. I guess we will never know how that would have gone!
