Insanity. Turns out it's almost half of the health budget under National that goes to private corporate helth, and 80% of all new funding is going to private and corporate healthcare #NZPOL

🚨 VOTING IS NOW OPEN! Do you know who you're voting for? This election, don't just pay attention to what politicians say - watch what they do. And when you go to the polls, vote for parties that will protect working people and their whānau. #nzpol

I see why they got rid of Maiki Sherman, she actually gave context. Luxon and National said a 2026 election win was a mandate for privatisation but they've gone all quiet on the topic this year #NZPOL

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Quick reminder that Luxon spent a million dollars on an International Investors Summit last year and nobody invested 👍🏽

A tūī getting stuck into the harakeke in my local stormwater catchment this afternoon. 🪶🇳🇿

Reporting what Mitchell said without reporting that under his watch PoliceNZ stopped turning up to DV incidents leaving 1000s of women at the receiving end of violence without assistance or justice. Mark Mitchell and National - who removed pay equity - care not one jot for women’s safety. Shame RNZ.

Last day! NZ National restricted general roll voting regulations for the first time in 40 yrs To reporters please don’t repeat spin- the change won’t speed up counting - And let’s not shrug & say just 2% fewer voters enrolled It’s 300,000 NZers prevented from voting That’s an entire NZ town

www.taste.com.au/recipes/bake... So I’ve just put one of these in the oven. Thanks to @nocommonswan.bsky.social for making the shortcrust for me 😊 #nomnomnom

"How's your diet going?" "Fuck off"

In the immortal words of Helen Kelly, ‘It’s by design.” #NZPol

#NZ Youth murderer, inspiration of Jackson’s 1994 Heavenly Creatures film, dies “Pauline Parker was 16 years old when she and her friend Juliet Hulme beat Parker's mother to death in a park in Christchurch in 1954. The pair served five years in jail before they were released under new identities.”

John Key allowed the owners of the Pike River mine to clean out the companies bank accounts & run away from their responsibilities. The National party allowed corporate man slaughter to go unanswered. Bill English then updated the workplace laws to move responsibilities to lowest person #NZPol

I've been again exploring ways to make public information and data a bit more accessible. Enrolment and turnout is a big issue this election and a lot of organisations have been working to get as many people enrolled as possible. #nzpol So we made: vote.inzight.co.nz

When I was a kid my mum got a flat tyre in the bucketing down rain. Crying and unable to undo the nuts with 2 young children getting upset she tried to wave down help. Nobody stopped. Until an HQ Holden full of gang members stopped. Yes mum was scared. "Hey lady! Want some help?" She nodded.

Had to draw the ‘cat puddle on a glass table’ photo because WHO COULD RESIST #art #cat

“The Green Party has released its fully costed fiscal plan, which returns the books to surplus in 2029/30 and pays for new investment with around $8 billion a year in new revenue from the super-rich and big corporations” *fully costed *Return to surplus Then there’s this headline 💭🤔 #nzpol #NZ

Already feel exhausted by all the political posturing this morning so am heading into the garden to attack the weeds and listen to the birds 🪶 #birds

Do I can’t honestly say that I kill all houseplants anymore. This one which a friend at work gifted to me is going great and has developed 2x new flowers since I’ve had it on the kitchen windowsill 🌱
