Urameshi Boy is a ghost rapper who appears out of nowhere whenever someone feels resentful, and he does an upbeat rap to make them lighten up. (He’s one of many characters available for licensing from Studio Nugget.)

Hey @jamesgunn.bsky.social, a quick share could go a long way towards bringing joy to some underprivileged girls this month!

We’re not giving up on our #Supergirl event just yet, but we need a lot of support this week to make it happen. Even a couple dollars can go a long way, but also make sure to share our campaign far and wide! 🔗 gofund.me/9e3e40d00

People who work or trade in the stock market generally speaking are not smart people and are *very* easily susceptible to hype even when historically it leads to literally nothing.

The Dow-Jones futures are up because Trump is promising a cease-fire. Don't investors ever learn? If his lips are moving, he's lying.

NASA isn't why the US doesn't have universal healthcare, or a social safety net. The US doesn't have those things because politicians with the power to provide them choose specifically not to (with varying levels of support from voters). Enthusiasm for human spaceflight doesn't drive that choice.

The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.

Putin is the puppet master behind ALL OF IT and has been for a very long time. Trump is just a useful idiot, his greed, vanity and ego are easily manipulated and his stupidity means he’ll never know he’s been played.

Angry@angrystaffer.bsky.social

Just to recap: Russia is currently helping Iranian forces try to kill US troops. In response, Trump is… lifting sanctions on Russia and threatening to pull out of NATO, which are the #1 and #2 items on Putin’s wishlist

53 years ago today, the last U.S. combat troops left South Vietnam, ending America’s direct role in the Vietnam War. I remember seeing this anti-war PSA back then. Its message is sadly still very relevant today as Trump drags us into another unpopular war.

Every corrupt politician in the USA is doing insider trading RIGHT NOW to make millions of dollars off the bombing of children. This is sadly an evergreen post.

NEW: This new report, from BBC, is the best takedown of the insanity of Trump you will see anywhere. Calm, coherent and repeating only Trump’s own words. Devastating. Brilliant work once again from Roz Atkins. (🎥 BBC News)

I wonder if they’re waiting and watching the numbers of the Muppet Show special and all other Muppet stuff, to see if the success of the show was it on its own (awesome) merits or as a result of social media hype stoking. Best advice I can give if you want more Muppets: Watch Muppets, a lot.

I know it’s a nothing question, but do we think that semi-literate orange pedo protector gets AI to write his BS Truth Social posts? They’re brain sharts for sure, but far more ordered than the effluence that comes out of his mouth & I can’t imagine he has someone do it for him at the wee hours.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump is seriously trying to turn one of his brain misfirings ("MUTILIZATION") into a word

We hope that’s the good news and that the world’s oldest Make-a-Wish kid, orange, entitled, pedo protector, President bone spurs doesn’t find a way to lie and cheat himself into a third term.

The Bad News: Trump doesn't have to face the voters again, so he can do whatever he wants. The Good News: In 1039 days he's gone for good.

I seriously never want to hear anything about disruptors and disruption again. The people that own these companies spout word salads in the hopes that someone actually thinks they’re smart…they’re not by the way.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Palantir CEO Alex Karp: "This technology disrupts humanity's train, largely Democratic voters, and makes their economic power less, and increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working class, often male voters. These disruptions are going to disrupt every aspect of our society."

He misspoke, he meant ‘a new guilded age’. Where the President is and protects pedophiles, and is prepared to let a school of children die to distract from that.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Mike Johnson speaks at Trump's property in Doral: "We're in the middle of the new golden era, the new golden age"

And there’s the endgame. The billionaire class, the Epstein class see us as lesser than them. We’re a means to an end, but ultimately they’d prefer we all die and leave the world to them and their tech.

X2Y@handle.invalid

SAM ALTMAN: “People talk about how much energy it takes to train an AI model … But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart.”

How is this a win for anyone? Chinese racks are now the exact same price as US ones. The customer has to pay more, that cost gets pushed across to customer after customer. It’s inflation. Tariffs are a cancer.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

TRUMP: This gentleman has a great company. We was in big trouble and then I put on the tariffs. It's amazing anyone could complain about them BIZ OWNER: It's been a game changer. We were competing with China. They were producing racks at $90 a piece. Our costs alone are $150. You leveled it

Sorry to get radical but I don’t think it’s my job or yours to embrace, accept, understand - and certainly not to use - the thing being sold to us as AI. I don’t like any part of it, so I won’t. I’m missing out? Good, that’s what I want. You’re worried about me missing out? That’s fuckin weird, man.

Crockett: "The US is falling apart, partially bc he's allowing for killings in the street, but also bc we have a 34 count convicted felon being shielded from any type of accountability as it relates to a child sex trafficking ring. I don't understand why we're pretending any of this is normal."

Fantasia is a literal masterpiece of art. But, Raya deserves so much more praise and awareness than I believe it gets.

Josh Spiegel@mousterpiece.bsky.social

Today in the second round of the Walt Disney Animation Studios bracket, an unadulterated classic faces off against a much newer film. I think I know who wins here. 1️⃣ Fantasia 2️⃣ Raya and the Last Dragon 📊 Show results

A reminder, there is no culture war. There is a (less and less cold) class war. But, there’s more of us than there are of them and they have no actual discernible skills beyond having ‘on paper’ wealth. THEY NEED US, but we don’t need them.

Jeffrey Bezos is destroying the Washington Post for the same reason Musk destroyed Twitter and Ellison is destroying CBS—oligarchs oppose the free press when if it threatens their wealth and power. They don’t want normal people to see what is happening in America.

Oh he’s not saving himself any humiliation, that man is more transparent than jellyfish. Everything he touches dies and he takes down everything in his orbit as it does…except sadly himself (Russia protects him from consequences).

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

Swalwell: Nobody wants to perform there. Everyone who had been booked is now canceling since this guy put his name on it. I think he’s trying to save himself the humiliation of no one wanting to perform there or go there.

The Epstein Files must be life endingly bad for Trump and his pals or the right kind of leverage for his handlers. Just wondering, Dems or other nations of the world with access, now would be a good time to leak them.

The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

With the world in a very shitty place all round, Wonder Man was just what I needed. Fun, heartfelt and meaningful. With oh so much chemistry and charisma. Even if you’re jaded by the whole MCU thing, it’s worth checking this gem out.

He’s a moron, a frail, weak, childish, bigoted, incurious moron with no empathy, full of greed, malignant narcissism, dementia and will always put himself above the people he was sworn in to serve.

"They say they're coming to save us from some evil? They're talking about our neighbors who take care of us ... Alex was murdered while he was helping. Mr Rogers said look for the helpers, & right now the helpers have a target on our forehead ... Mr Rogers would be here right now too, so I'm here."

@teamlabouruk.bsky.social this past few weeks should be a massive wake up call. Stop trying to cosy up to that pedophile protector. Stand up to the bully, it’s the only way. Canada and the EU are the future, as long as Dementia Don is around the US is done.

James O’Brien@mrjamesob.bsky.social

I worry that Trump’s latest partial climbdowns, pathetic & insincere as they are, will bolster Downing Street’s arguments for keeping him sweet when it’s surely time to go full Mark Carney.

All of this, all of it is entirely the fault of one man. One man who’ll never take responsibility.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

All of this is fucking senseless. Minnesota did not have an immigration problem. Trump sent his Nazi thugs here because he's racist against Somali people and to own libs like Tim Walz. Now two Minnesotans are dead and Minneapolis is on the verge of going up in flames. None. Of. This. Was. Necessary.

As the last week or so have proven, he has no cards. He’s a flailing would be Mafia Don dictator, who has singled handedly turned the US from one of the hottest countries in the world to one colder than the current temperatures at Greenland.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

BARTIROMO: The Danish pension fund said they're exiting US treasuries. European companies hold trillions of stocks and bonds from the US. Do you worry they'll sell those in retaliation? TRUMP: No. If they do they do. If that happened, there'd be big retaliation on our part, & we have all the cards

The lesson is that the US is currently the weakest it’s ever been and the more of a tough guy strong man Trump tries to be, the weaker he appears.

Justin Wolfers@justinwolfers.bsky.social

Aaaaand, just FOUR days later, Trump TACO's and calls the whole thing off. Fuhgeddaboutdit -- No more trade war with Europe. The U.S. sure taught the world a lesson! (What was that lesson?)
